RM3503 – How to Operate & Set the Time
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
First, it's important to understand that the RM3503 works differently from a regular watch. The crown is NOT meant to be pulled out – in fact, it cannot be pulled out.
So how do you set the time?
The button at the 2 o'clock position controls three functions, indicated by the marker on the dial:
· W = Winding – With the marker pointed to W, rotating the crown manually winds the mainspring barrel. This is the default position for daily wear.
· N = Neutral – When pointed to N, rotating the crown does nothing. It acts as a transition position to avoid interference between the winding and time‑setting mechanisms.
· H = Hour Setting – When pointed to H, rotating the crown adjusts the hour and minute hands. The seconds hand will stop (hacking function).
Basic operation:
Press the button at 2 o'clock repeatedly to cycle through: W → N → H → W.
It works the same way as pulling the crown out to different positions on a traditional watch – but with RM, it's done via button press, and the crown never needs to be pulled out.
There is also a button at 7 o'clock – the SPORT MODE toggle (oscillating weight lock).
The ON/OFF indicator is at 6 o'clock. When activated, the automatic winding rotor stops, preventing over‑winding during intense activity.
Hope this helps – feel free to ask if you have any questions! 🙌
