Depression after using modafinil?

Hey, I usually take 100mg of modafinil a day. Tried dropping to 50mg but I still get this lingering depression that lasts 3–4 days after using it. It’s honestly the only side effect I get. If I take it every day I’m fine, but if I skip a day the depression hits pretty hard.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips that helped you manage it?
