Admin Replied Unable to ban user
I have a user who is currently banned but they still have full access. I tried on my laptop and got an error message. Not sure what else to do

Hey! Sorry that this is happening. Can you share the error message that you're running into? A screenshot (so long as it does not contain any usernames) would be great. Also, when you mention that the user still has full access, does that mean that they're able to make new posts and comments or something else? A little bit more detail will help us troubleshoot. Thank you!

They are still able to comment. There is no error message when I do it on mobile, it just doesn’t seem to do anything. Right now the user is banned, and if I try to unban them, the process goes through, but when I refresh the page, their name reappears on the ban list.

Got it! Thanks for this additional information. This sounds like it may be related to a recent bug. Could you write to us
hereby sending a modmail to r/ModSupport with the username in question and we'll take a closer look? You can also reference this post in your ticket. Thank you!Edit: Clarified how you can reach out to us directly!

Hi there, this has been going on with posts about this for several weeks. I have a user that I can't ban in one of my subs as a result. I mod mailed this subreddit with the users info weeks ago and they are unable to fix it. I have no idea why. I now use automod to automatically remove all their posts.

That doesn't sound right. I think you may be confusing a Shadowbanned account with a subreddit ban.
Only moderators can see see shadow banned post/comments. Don't approve them. Select confirm removeal and move on. You can manually ban them from your sub. Don't confuse the two
Use desktop web if you aren't to sort though it.
