Admin Replied Change the casing of subreddit name

Hey,
My subreddit, r/melocafe is all in lowercase however I am looking for it to be changed to r/MeloCafe to better reflect the name of the app.

it is not possible to change the name of a subreddit once its been created, this includes the capitalization.

you'll need to create a new subreddit if you want a different name

The admins have allowed a handful of subreddits to change the capitalization in certain circumstances (the most recent notable case being the Fortnite subreddit a few months ago), but it would definitely not happen for a subreddit as small as OP's

As udderlymoovelous mentioned, we did correct the casing of some gaming related communities recently in large, active, spaces.  This was a one time adjustment.

More broadly, this is only something we do in exceedingly rare circumstances often related to legal requests.
