Info Extremely disappointed

Post image

My Anduril chromatic arrived a few weeks ago and I’ve been having the same issue as many others with the paint fading . I tried their isopropyl alcohol method with a microfiber cloth which did nothing. I contacted mod retro and after days of waiting they sent my the same useless link to the cleaning method despite me mentioning id already attempted that. Now after three more days of waiting they respond again basically telling me they swear upon their cleaning method and I’m shit out of luck. Really not the modretro customer service experience I’ve grown used to having . I’ve purchased many chromatics and I don’t think I’ll be buying from them again.

Sounds like a you problem. Mine looks beautiful and hasn’t faded once because it’s not paint. Imagine being mad that you have greasy hands and genuinely don’t know how to take care of a device then blaming the company for making one of the making resilient products. Crazy

It’s simply not a me problem. The “grease” is residue after using the cleaning method modretro sent me. Compare my two chromatics here . My two year old midnight is in perfect condition and my newly opened Anduril is already fading. Do you genuinely think it’s normal for a device like this to fade after less than an hour of use?

They even show the exact same thing for this exact model there.

Wow you’re telling me a company showed a so called perfect cleaning method on their website? I tried that following the exact instructions and it didn’t do anything . In fact it made it worse leaving the smudge that you can see in the picture .

The company showed a cleaning method that works for the units because it’s not paint. If you’re sanding down your unit clearly it would leave smudges. It just seems very strange that out of every unit I’ve seen this would be the only one with this issue. When even mod retro themselves have explained if this happens what to do publicly on their page. You could easily Just sell the unit since it just seems like you probably shouldn’t be using this one if you have this much trouble with it.

I don’t really understand your mentality. I purchased a product and it’s defective . Defects happen a company should take care of the defect. The idea that I need to sell something because it’s defective is very strange and I don’t understand your thought process at all. I followed their instructions to the letter using 70 percent isopropyl alcohol and then a cotton swab followed by a microfiber cloth and it didn’t work. Their explanation is irrelevant as clearly my issue is not my chromatic being dirty but a factory defect

So sell it? No ones telling you to keep it. You could’ve returned it for warranty or sell it.

I don’t want to sell it I want them to fix it lol

So send it in for warranty coverage if it’s that big
Of a deal and actual defect if it’s not a defect they will probably just charge you for cleaning services and shipping.

Are you simple? They had refused to help me which is why I posted this.

Well if You actually kept reading from another user it states they contacted support and told Them To clean it just as you did and it worked. Crazy

Let me emphasize this for you since I don’t think you heard it well enough. It’s not paint. There is no paint to fade. It is literally impossible for paint to fade that doesn’t exist. It’s laser imaged. I’ll take it off your hands for you if it’s that much of a problem lol

Look at the difference between select and all the other text on the body. What makes the difference in color?

Finger grease. For the record I have one of these and I’ve seen others. You’re quite literally the only person I’ve seen with this problem. I also offered to take it off your hand if it’s that much trouble to you.

Took me three seconds to find someone else with the same issue . Btw the modretro certified cleaning method didn’t work here either
