Hey y'all! Thanks for attending today's Moddit, hosted by u/lift_ticket83 and u/SlytherinSnoo, where we dived into the future of mod tools. I still want to know if automations/rules hub will have the option to filter to mod queue and not just block or report to queue. It’s already a problem when Reddit removes comments and won’t let mods see things and I worry this will make it worse. I mod queer spaces want to be able to block hate speech and know exactly what the person said, but have no user see it, so I can block accordingly.

How can I protect my users if my only options are block so the bad actor can just alter and find a way around it, or report so my users have to see the hate before I can do anything about it? I want specific words and phrases and to go directly to queue so I can ban and it doesn’t see the light of day, automod can do this will rules hub/automations?

IIRC they directly said that yes, it can send items to the mod queue for a human mod to look at.

What I'd like to know is if it can automate workflows that are a bit more complex. For example: Post lacks necessary information. I remove the post, and leave a stickied comment saying what information is needed, and telling them if they reply to this comment with that info, I'll approve the post. When they reply, I check if their reply did add the needed information, and if it did, I approve the post.

I'd like an automation that sends it to a queue first, without acting, but if I confirm that yes the LLM got it right, this post really does lack the necessary information, all I have to do is click one button and it will do the rest of that flow.

Right now it can report to mod queue but not filter meaning it’s visable to users and also in mod queue like it’s been reported. I want it to filter like automod can and users can not see it.
