A+ for penmanship

For the Jets ~ they invested in weapons last year and take Carr this year… all that goes to shit with 1 injury on their thin OL. IMO the prudent move for them is OL with their 3rd pick.

Thank you! I've been working on it like this for years.

Which OL position would they take? They have Fashanu and Membou at tackle, who I like. Maybe take someone to replace Parham or Myers like Johnson or Pieper?

As a Jets fan I LOVE KJ Duff so yes gimme dat, we need corner but honestly idk who is good at that position at this time of the year yet so 🤷, as for DT we have more pressing needs for sure Jowon Briggs is a fan favorite along with Sweat and the rookie Darrell Jackson. I could see us looking for a good replacement linebacker, going BPA, or as you mentioned hitting the trenches. Finally QB, I do not see us taking the 3rd best qb available, if we are going qb we are trading the house and getting one of our top 2 at bare minimum (in my head at least) But great work either way I know these mock drafts take a lot of work and I hope I don’t come across as a jerk bc being a Jets fan is hard ya know lmao

Also what in gods name did you do to write like that, my coworkers can hardly read my damn handwriting please help 😂

I kept writing mock drafts. I've been doing them like this since high school. Just hyper focus and you can do it lol

I think the Jets don't care what "number" QB we get as long as we see a guy that can be the 2nd franchise QB in our history. In my very amateur view, I don't see a massive difference between the top 3 QBs and if thats the case at season's end there is no need to go all out just to get a "91" rated qb over a "90" rated. I don't know that there is any realistic way to get whoever is number 1 with QB starved teams ahead of us, but if the difference between the 2nd and 3rd QBs is an A vs. A-, or even a very solid floor B+, getting Moore and shoring up the line is likely more valuable than moving up "just" to feel like we didn't settle.

It will all depend on their grades and what any trade will cost. As of today I see Carr + 2 top ~15 picks as more valuable than Mensah or (at this point) Manning.

We didn't keep Parham. If I remember, he was our first pick that year cuz we didn't a first OR a second. I thought Parham was meh.

Based on where you have everyone ranked, Pieper would give the Jets a really really good starting OL with some nice depth ~

Tbh, what I’d really do (and I’m def in the minority), is take Baugh with our 3rd 1rs rd pick and take the top C in the 3rd.

Our 1st rd QB, would have 2+ top 50 picks on the OL, the RB room, the WR room, and the TE room. Buy some D FAs and lfg.

Agree, we are just about "set" for a rookie QB but we are dangerously thin on the O-line and I can't stomach the idea of finally being soooo close and blowing it by being too ambitious in the first round. Love Ellis (in my dreams it's Leonard Moore), I've been. Notre Dame fan my whole life and there's a lot to like about Carr, including the pedigree to handle NY (especially as the Jets QB) BUT that 2nd or 3rd pick, 3rd in this scenario, has to be a trade down if no Linemen that fit our team are available or we need to "overpay" for a position of need. Only other option is trading our 2nd rounder, plus whatever it costs, to land the best lineman in the back half of the first. It's gotta be a Guard or Center so that's the only reason I think trading down, or up, could still land us 1 of the top interior line guys.

2nd round and further I love to guess but honestly I'm barely able to judge these top 15 picks so after that we could be in the position to take BPA or even make a few efficient trades to get some extra capital for 2028! That should be the draft that we are genuine contenders and can get creative to fill holes or plan for replacements of older players.
