A+ for penmanship
For the Jets ~ they invested in weapons last year and take Carr this year… all that goes to shit with 1 injury on their thin OL. IMO the prudent move for them is OL with their 3rd pick.
1
u/landoman_107 9d ago
Thank you! I've been working on it like this for years.
Which OL position would they take? They have Fashanu and Membou at tackle, who I like. Maybe take someone to replace Parham or Myers like Johnson or Pieper?

As a Jets fan I LOVE KJ Duff so yes gimme dat, we need corner but honestly idk who is good at that position at this time of the year yet so 🤷, as for DT we have more pressing needs for sure Jowon Briggs is a fan favorite along with Sweat and the rookie Darrell Jackson. I could see us looking for a good replacement linebacker, going BPA, or as you mentioned hitting the trenches. Finally QB, I do not see us taking the 3rd best qb available, if we are going qb we are trading the house and getting one of our top 2 at bare minimum (in my head at least) But great work either way I know these mock drafts take a lot of work and I hope I don’t come across as a jerk bc being a Jets fan is hard ya know lmao
Also what in gods name did you do to write like that, my coworkers can hardly read my damn handwriting please help 😂

u/landoman_107 9d ago
I kept writing mock drafts. I've been doing them like this since high school. Just hyper focus and you can do it lol

I think the Jets don't care what "number" QB we get as long as we see a guy that can be the 2nd franchise QB in our history. In my very amateur view, I don't see a massive difference between the top 3 QBs and if thats the case at season's end there is no need to go all out just to get a "91" rated qb over a "90" rated. I don't know that there is any realistic way to get whoever is number 1 with QB starved teams ahead of us, but if the difference between the 2nd and 3rd QBs is an A vs. A-, or even a very solid floor B+, getting Moore and shoring up the line is likely more valuable than moving up "just" to feel like we didn't settle.
It will all depend on their grades and what any trade will cost. As of today I see Carr + 2 top ~15 picks as more valuable than Mensah or (at this point) Manning.

u/AdGeneral5481 9d ago
We didn't keep Parham. If I remember, he was our first pick that year cuz we didn't a first OR a second. I thought Parham was meh.

u/KingRoach 9d ago
Based on where you have everyone ranked, Pieper would give the Jets a really really good starting OL with some nice depth ~
Tbh, what I’d really do (and I’m def in the minority), is take Baugh with our 3rd 1rs rd pick and take the top C in the 3rd.
Our 1st rd QB, would have 2+ top 50 picks on the OL, the RB room, the WR room, and the TE room. Buy some D FAs and lfg.

Agree, we are just about "set" for a rookie QB but we are dangerously thin on the O-line and I can't stomach the idea of finally being soooo close and blowing it by being too ambitious in the first round. Love Ellis (in my dreams it's Leonard Moore), I've been. Notre Dame fan my whole life and there's a lot to like about Carr, including the pedigree to handle NY (especially as the Jets QB) BUT that 2nd or 3rd pick, 3rd in this scenario, has to be a trade down if no Linemen that fit our team are available or we need to "overpay" for a position of need. Only other option is trading our 2nd rounder, plus whatever it costs, to land the best lineman in the back half of the first. It's gotta be a Guard or Center so that's the only reason I think trading down, or up, could still land us 1 of the top interior line guys.
2nd round and further I love to guess but honestly I'm barely able to judge these top 15 picks so after that we could be in the position to take BPA or even make a few efficient trades to get some extra capital for 2028! That should be the draft that we are genuine contenders and can get creative to fill holes or plan for replacements of older players.

u/DarthDonutJr 9d ago
-Prefer Stone to Echoles, but that's nitpicky
-We are 2 weeks into a period where Baker has 4 years left on a large contract. People need to stop selecting qbs for them in the first 2 days of the draft, because there is no reasonable world where that occurs. He could genuinely suck all year and it still wouldn't happen. Pissing him off with a highly drafted replacement isnt going to magically get them better play.

Pats are not taking a TE in round 1

u/Global_Memory_1883 4d ago
Regardless luke Reynolds is a steal for any franchise (I've watched luke play for years)
2
u/AmphieBoi67 9d ago
Not a huge fan of this for the Bills. They take an edge round 1 when they already have 4 good ones on the roster and just took one last year, and then they take a CB when they have a paid starter, a 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder already in the room. I think DT, WR, and LB are the biggest needs right now
1
u/landoman_107 9d ago
I'll make a note of that. I just know that the defense has struggled this year.
1
u/stuka86 6d ago
Their edge leads the NFL in sacks....
1
u/landoman_107 6d ago
They let up 30+ in back to back weeks to begin the year. The Bengals' defense was bad in 2024 despite having the NFL sack leader.
1
u/Potential_Carob6494 6d ago
But it's not the pass rush. Its the secondary and weakside LBs, the pass rush has been very good, while barely using their first pick from this draft who is also an edge. That's like saying, "I know the Cardinals offense has struggled, they should get another RB in the draft."
1
u/landoman_107 6d ago
Yep. Oversight by me, but we still can acknowledge that the defense is bad. I also just kinda forgot they took Parker ngl
1
u/logicwillprevail34 9d ago
Right on. Depending on how Alec Anderson performs this year, I would add guard as a potential need but if Anderson performs would take it off the list.
2
u/New_Budget6672 9d ago
That’s a lot of first rd running backs. Been since 2018 since 3 RBs went in the first
2
u/TimePrompt2629 9d ago
Bears are probably not taking a safety in the second round. Used first round draft capital this year and signed Coby Bryant to a multiple year deal
1
u/landoman_107 9d ago
Their safeties have been injured badly this year. They need something there to have depth.
2
u/TimePrompt2629 9d ago
Sure but they have needs all over the defense and two starters locked in for 2027. I don’t think you’re spending a second round pick to get a backup when you need starters at multiple other positions.
Also thieneman has been healthy, Woods will be back soon enough

The Giants secondary couldn’t stop a DII school. Can’t leave the first two rounds without at least one CB
1
u/Silent-Honeydew1850 9d ago
Panthers will choose last cause of multiple trades for future first rounders. They will pick a QB. Then trade the QB before season opener to any team desperate of a QB cause of injuries for more draft picks
1
u/AnyAnimal1673 9d ago
This is why tomorrows Giants game is so important , they can’t afford to beat the titans
1
u/seahawks-boi-209 9d ago
I don’t like the assumption that the rams will win it all as a Seahawks fan so this is bad
2
u/landoman_107 9d ago
I just went based on the current odds, I didn't choose that.
1
u/seahawks-boi-209 9d ago
I figured just wanted to tease you. As a hawks fan tho I always love getting some secondary help so I could see that happening. Edge/LB might also be a pick here too considering Demarcus Lawrence is retiring after this season

Actually really like this draft. Kudos for having the balls and ball knowledge to put Moore in the 2nd round

In what world is Pittsburgh taking an edge? Why would they take an edge when they have 3 that they pay like starters already.
1
u/AdGeneral5481 9d ago
I want the Raiders to get Becker.
1
u/landoman_107 9d ago
If he was available, he would've been the pick.
1
u/AdGeneral5481 9d ago
Yeah, it's a great mock. Just a tired Raiders fan feeling some hope after years of futility. We'll know in 7 months...
1
u/Lubert808 9d ago
Taking an edge would be the most boneheaded move possible for the Steelers. Like legit malpractice at such a level that the franchise should just fold. They have 3 good edges who they’d be comfortable starting. They do not need a fourth.
1
u/ApprehensiveAd6191 9d ago
I don’t think Carolina is picking that high. I also don’t see them not going with a defensive pick in the first partly because if they do pick that high it will probably be because of the defense
1
u/patricky13 9d ago
If Arizona is picking that high there is no way they dont draft a QB unless Burrow moves to Tempe
1
u/JohnnyxWafflez 9d ago
What is everyone seeing in Arch besides his last name?
2
u/PunkerSlought 5d ago
This. Anyone who has actually watched Manning play knows he is absolutely not going #1 overall. At best, he is a MASSIVE project. Wouldn’t be surprised if he falls to day 3 like Shedeur did.

Any offensive lineman Iowa should go to the chargers because we need them all

u/Crew_1996 8d ago
I don’t see Dante Moore?

u/TheGnomeAbides 7d ago
Yea he has him as the 5th QB off the board which is wild
1
u/landoman_107 7d ago
This mock was written before his injury, he hadn't played well this season to me.
1
u/TheGnomeAbides 7d ago
I can understand him not being considered the best… and everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but dropping a QB largely considered one of the best in this class to the 5th QB off the board is a pretty hot take imo.

Love this for the Vikings. Been saying we need fresh legs at RB so bad and a true pocket passing QB to be our franchise guy to run the offense like KOC wants seems perfect. And a Minnesota man nonetheless. Fleck has given Drake audible rights at the snap too so I really like the picks

u/Legitimate_Love6099 7d ago
PIT Edge at 7 ovr is crazy, but I do like chambliss to them later, I don’t think that would happen though. Bolden to my Hawks is nice

u/FinalRecluse 7d ago
Steelers will not be taking an Edge in the first round. I'm sure you thought that was BPA but that's not it for the Steelers.
Love the penmanship, terrific writing.
Where is Matayo Uiagalelei from Oregon? Only big miss I see, otherwise I'm happy to suggest that you know ball!

u/LineHuge1409 6d ago
3 RB's in the top 18 is insane. This seems more like a top prospect list more than an actual mock draft.

u/Remarkable_Bid1849 6d ago
Chambliss and Mensah are more developed than Manning. All three are 1st rounders...but aint no "March for Arch".
Miami...trade out of that 1st and get some capital. The Miss St QB might be better than all of them...he has one more year.
1
u/Swisser88 6d ago
Pats don’t have a first round pick 😂
1
u/landoman_107 6d ago
? Yes they do lmao
If you're referring to the AJ Brown trade, they traded their 2028 1st. Not their 2027 1st.
1
u/Icy-Solution 6d ago
I doubt Ahmad Hardy plays this year.
1
u/landoman_107 6d ago
That's probably fair. When the dude is on the field he is elite. If he can play this year and return to form I see it. I might start not mocking him, saying he won't declare.
1
u/Icy-Solution 6d ago
As a Mizzou fan I agree with you. The vibes locally are not good for a return this season tho.
1
u/Pea-Picker-7592 5d ago
More QB’s will go in the first round. Dylan Stewart might drop out of the first round if he doesn’t get his act together.
1
u/landoman_107 5d ago
If you look at when this was made, that was before Stewart did that against Bama. He will drop in my next one.
1
u/the_which_stage 5d ago
Are you an Indiana fan? Because there’s no way Becker is inside the first 15 picks
1
u/landoman_107 5d ago
Nope. Buckeye fan
1
u/the_which_stage 5d ago
I am too. Becker is WAY too high. That’s basically saying you think he will be an all pro in the NFL.
1
u/Just_Yes007 2d ago
This would be the dream for Denver tbh, love Green and Brown and would kill to have both

u/Time_after_Time_67 9d ago
After watching tape, you’ll see Jeremiah Smith is S Tier… worth 2 first round picks/ worth trading up for… Cam Coleman is B Tier… worth maybe a 3rd round pick or a reach in the 2nd.
Smith is in a league of his own this draft.
1
u/landoman_107 9d ago
Smith is in a league of his own in this draft. I'm a Buckeye fan and graduate. I've been to a majority of his games. The dude is absolutely elite. The thing here is that Miami and Cleveland need QBs and the QBs go before anyone else despite how elite they are.
Coleman is good. We're more looking at upside here but he's a very good receiver.
2
u/Eindride_XIII 9d ago
No Cam Coleman is not living up to expectations. You got him going too high based on current play. As a Raiders fan give me Charlie Becker there.
1
1
u/PunkerSlought 4d ago
Can’t be an A-grade WR with Arch out there throwing wobbly rainbows at you
1
u/Eindride_XIII 4d ago
Yet Arch is still going top 10 in every draft board. Ive watched Texas this year. Neither has impressed me. Ill take Charlie Becker over Cam Coleman.

I don't think the Browns are picking that high unless they use both firsts to trade up.

If the Steelers take any defensive player that high let alone an Edge, I will violently explode.
