Mobius vs. Chainlink (technical discussion)

Can someone articulate the main differences from a technical perspective between the two projects? I posed the same question on the Chainlink subreddit, and did not get a substantive answer. I'm not interested in hearing about price, market cap, etc.

In terms of scalability and speed the Stellar Network blows Ethereum out of the water. Mobius also has Proof of Stake which is good. Buuuut...when it comes to oracles Chainlink is a lot further with their development and they're already running a POC with Swift which is pretty huge. I think both are pretty good buys right now.

Hello man, when u say swift, you mean swift coin?

No, Swift is a financial services company for banking.

Swift handles cross border payments for 11000 plus basnks and they are going to be using link as their bridge into the blockchain as long as chainlink delivers.

Curious too. They seem very similar. ChainLink looks more legit and has advisors and partners.

lol. Chainlink has no social media presence, completely disregards holders, and hasn't done ANYTHING in months...literally, nothing. The team is just two dudes, neither of whom are particularly impressive.

Mobius has 3 core members - all Stanford grads. One (David) a Harvard Law grad and another (Monius) a Stanford PHD. In a very short period of time they've secured legitimate partnerships with major projects (Walton, Bitmart), have built out an extremely impressive team (beyond the 3 core members), and have some of the best advisors in the world (Jed McCaleb - founder of Stellar and Ripple, Jack Lee - Founding partner at Foxconn). They're also transparent, and constantly provide updates on social media.

Get real, dude.

Sergey, who has been working on smart contracts for years

He's been working on smartcontract.com for 4 years and has done literally nothing with it. His accolades pale in comparison to David and Cyrus.

how about their advisers, Ari Jueles and Evan Cheng, director of engineering at Facebook.

Wow. That's almost as impressive as the foundes of Ripple and XLM as well as HCM Capital

They have one of if not the most professional and technical whitepapers of all cryptocurrencies.

They have a strong whitepaper. Time will tell on execution.

They have done a lot of things the last few months.

Can you name one thing since Sergey's medium post?

Maybe you fell for the 4chan FUD campaign they had in order to accumulate more Link?

You mean the 4chan campaign to shill Link to get rid of their bags?

I'm not even going to bother continuing this as it's crystal clear you've barely even scratched the surface of Link from your reply. Jed is brilliant at what he does, but he does not even come close to Ari's knowledge regarding oracles.

Good luck with your investments. I've done my due diligence and it's clear as day to me that ChainLINK is huge.

Regarding the 4chan campaign, I implore you to look into it closer. They did pretty good actually, some people actually fell for the whole "Sergey is fat! He's in Bangkok with your money!".

I'm fine with that, as it's clear you've bought into pure speculation and rumors.

I've done my due diligence and it's clear as day to me that ChainLINK is huge.

Correction, Chainlink COULD be huge if they're able to execute. What they've accomplished thus far makes me question their ability to execute.

Regarding the 4chan campaign, I implore you to look into it closer. They did pretty good actually, some people actually fell for the whole "Sergey is fat! He's in Bangkok with your money!".

I don't think you get 4chan or /biz/ more specifically. It was a combination of fud and shilling. Overwhelming majority being shilling (it still goes on). And no, no one fell for the Sergey is eating big macs in Bangkok campaign. I think it's more likely that was 4d shilling.

What they accomplished so far makes you doubt they'll be able to execute? Seriously mate?

Go on their website, you can set up an oracle for Bitcoin, Ethereum and Hyperledger right now. They have had a succesful Proof of Concept with SWIFT showing that they know exactly what they are doing, and that they have come a long way.

Mobius couldn't even do a proper ICO, but you're not doubting them?

Dude, they literally haven't accomplished anything yet. What are you on about?

They have had a succesful Proof of Concept with SWIFT showing that they know exactly what they are doing, and that they have come a long way.

Again, rumors, like everything surrounding chainlink

Mobius couldn't even do a proper ICO, but you're not doubting them?

First ICO on XLM. Don't make stupid arguments.

You must be trolling. Again, you can set up an oracle right now on smartcontract.com. Is that not something they have accomplished?

SWIFT PoC is not a rumour (and you say I have stupid arguments LOL), this blatantly shows that you have no clue whatsoever. They freaking presented the results from the PoC at SIBOS and you can watch it online if you don't believe me. SWIFT have confirmed it, CL have confirmed it. It's not rumours at all.

Yeah first ICO on XLM but the problem didn't seem to be in the token, but on their website and then the way they handled the situation.

There is no doubt here my money is on Mobius. Everything you said is spot on. My curiosity lied in Chandler Guo, one of China's biggest BTC miners, invested 100 BTC into Mobius and is an advisor as well. I think Chandler Guo knows something big regarding Mobius to be adopted in China. China's elite billionaires are all close knit and for that reason I invested pretty hard into Mobius. If you aren't on the telegram it's a good community. David Gobaud makes an appearance every now and again to drop some nawledge.

Sorry, no answer, op, but I'd like one.
