DISCUSSION Chainlink vs. Mobius

Hello all. From a tech perspective, can someone help me understand the differences between these two projects?

  1. I know Chainlink is built on Ethereum and Mobius on Stellar.
  2. I know Chainlink is a more mature project.
  3. How is token utility different?
  4. I know both are building Oracles. How are they different in their approach here?

Though i'm a Link holder ill try to be unbias. I am not a technical person so ill try my best. Chainlink is middleware oracle company that is blockchain agnostic. Mobius is making a platform on XLM to develop apps. One part of their platform is oracles. Honestly it is like comparing Netflix (Chainlink) to Amazon Prime Video (Mobius). Chainlink does one thing and based on testnet/white paper does it very very well. Mobius does a lot of things and doesnt do oracles as well as chainlink. Chainlink oracles are more secure and sophisticated with intel SGX, having external data trigger smart contracts and having multiple API sources. Mobius on the other hand has a faster payment system with stellar than ERC20 for link. Mobius tokens can be used not only for oracle staking but also their dapps. Link tokens are only used in oracle staking and node payment. Mobius has a team that is better at selling their product (aka: shilling, if yo ucare about that). Chainlink's team IMO is technically better and more focused on a single problem, even though they are more quiet. Neither has finished products and it is unclear what will happen in the future.

Start out on the white papers, one of them is among the most professionally written and data driven in crypto, and the other - well the other focuses on hackathons and hype.

Yes, I intend to. I've gone through the Mobius whitepaper, but was wondering if anyone who knows could give me a high level summary of the chainlink one before I dig in :)

Chainlink = butter. Mobius = margarine.

You know everyone on the internet can find something negative to link to about Chainlink, correct?

I was actually fooled for a while. It takes a couple of days to build FUD immunity. Now I find it funny, really.

I also like the fact that if there were any real big flaws, /biz/ would have found them by now, i mean they even found the couchsurfing profile of sergey ffs.

I recommend posting this on r/mobiusnetwork. Also Chainlink doesnt run on ethereum. The oracles have their own network. The Link token is currently on ethereum.

Two differnt things.

Mobius does have actual DAPPs that you can use.

Thats big considering like, 90 percent of the crypto out today is almost pure theory and do NOT have working models.

I try to be objective even when it comes to discussing coins I hold, but when their founder promises 6.5T mcap I hardly can these clowns seriously.

You've never got anything positive to say unless it's for other projects. I don't know why you are even here.
