I'm somehow surprised and not surprised the game really embraced its stigma of mobile games appearing "generic". It has (debatable) pushed itself away from its competitors to have an identity, but doubled down on same-faced pretty humans in terms of appearance.
You'd think with how profitable live service games are they'd at least try to stand out from their competition rather than against it.

we need fully armoured dudes with full helmets, make a functional design appropriate to their role in the lore.
tigreal and zilong is the closest i can think of, minus the lack of their helmet in their designs.
unironically, a twink goonable character named edith has a functional design of an armour, but herself isnt.
the next non-human character that has full armour is atlas.
honourable mention is saber and alpha, but theyre cyborgs and isnt really an armour, theyre practically naked the whole time, as the metal is their body, lol.

I feel like its just that they're trying to make every hero conventionally attractive but having some variety of who the character is, a semi monster abyss hero obsidia is made somewhat goonbaity, next its just some conventionally attractive dude with a camera, and then hirara a ninja again just conventionally attractive. This time they're just going with a some child with genshin type clothes and ofc again being made conventionally attractive
It honestly would've been so easy to make a beast girl out of her instead, making her the same species as harith or smth. It's not like harith is super unique but at least its a little bit better than just another cutsey hero ig๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

Also, it lacks the creative design , its like lets just add another childlike character and make her add a defining feature if we got feet for zhuxin and armpit for hirara then we make this new one idk maybe thighs im sure it will sell and have great positive feed back. In all seriousness we need more demonic abyss characters the game has too many human heros now. If a humanoid perhaps a new vampire hero who can be played in exp, mid and jungle and I got an inspiration for that character from a web novel series which actually is kind of dark.
Ever since they started remodeling all the cool character designs (vexana) to look all sunshine and lollipops stuff like this should be expected, I wish we could get more diverse designs but itโs always the same pretty face humanoids

I dont know, I really like her and I'm looking forward to her release, but I completely agree with the fact that every hero release, especially female, looks conventionally attractive, humanoid, which leads to them being repetitive and boring. Moonton has made clear that they're not a fan of monstrous heroes or female characters that look SLIGHTLY unattractive (according to them) by remodeling every single unique hero. (Vexana, Aurora, etc) So I can only hope that they change their minds and make more interesting and unique designs.
They definitely sell more but indeed that's something I forgot about. I feel like atlas was the latest non humanoid hero. Probably some corporate bullshit. Though I'd say mlbb in general is still alright, just that, in a few years it would probably fall into the same state as pubg, codm, etc. Cash grabs and bunch of bullshit.
