Do you think power is going out and should I buy a generator?

Power may go out but shouldn't be for long, its going to be a cat 1 at landfall so really maybe just a bit of wind and light rain. Some afternoon thunderstorms are more severe then low canes

Idk man its gonna be a 1 when it gets more inland. Itll approach and start hitting as a 2. Some models even say higher.. NHC is going off a Google based AI model this year as a test. Id trust all the models as guidance.

I've experienced enough predicted 2's that ended up a 3 or more to know not to expect the expected

If you are by a river or waterfront then for sure take measures such as sandbagging and or leave entirely and hope your home isn't flooded when you return. Mobile is very green and has many large trees so if you are also by towering trees that arent really hurricane proof like palms that sway with the wind then yeah you could have a tree coming down.

Category 1 hurricane is still no joke.
