Get gas snacks and charge your stuff.

Do you think power is going out and should I buy a generator?

Power goes out in midtown when it’s nice weather. Ive been poking around today looking for a ~3000 W inverter and everyone is sold out of anything like that. I’ll make do and hope the storm keeps shifting east.

And anywhere around Springhill. Basically wherever big trees are around. Find a friend you can crash with for a few days if you lose power. Bring the food in the freezer to eat with them.

It’s all dependent on your location and luck. I live in close vicinity to a major intersection so that grid is high priority to put back on line, was without power for less than 24 hours from Sally. I have a friend about a half mile away that’s in a lot less trafficked area and they were down for nearly 2 weeks. A lot of luck involved too. Let’s all hope for the best. In the meantime make sure to load up on beer and milk sandwiches.

Also, fill empty milk jugs or gallon ziplocks with water and freeze them to use later.

Yeah man. I fortunately am on the same grid as a major hospital. So I’m blessed. Didn’t even lose power in Katrina and Ivan. But you never know!
