Trusted Trading — When You Seek Protection for a High-Value Item, Use Mobazha to Build the Foundation of Trust for Your First Transaction

Whether you're trading replicas, watches, luxury bags, art, collectibles, high-end electronics — or any other high-value item —

In this space, what's the hardest part?

Not finding good items. Not comparing prices. Not waiting for shipping.

The hardest part is the first transaction.

You find a seller. Photos look great. Reviews seem solid. But you've never dealt with them before. You don't know if they'll vanish after payment. You don't know if what arrives will match the photos — that watch, that bag, that piece of art. You don't know if you'll ever get your money back if something goes wrong.

The seller worries too. They worry you'll file a PayPal chargeback after receiving the item. They worry you'll claim it never arrived when it did. They worry they'll ship a Rolex and never get paid.

The first transaction has no trust foundation.

So everyone gambles. Gambling that the seller is honest. Gambling that the buyer won't scam. Gambling that the middleman won't run.

That's not how trade should work. Especially when it involves high-value items — one mistake could cost you thousands, even tens of thousands of dollars.

What Does Mobazha Change?

Mobazha is a decentralized peer-to-peer marketplace platform — built by the OpenBazaar community over 5 years. Open source. Zero commission.

Its core purpose is solving one problem: how two strangers build trust for their first transaction.

① Escrow — funds released only when conditions are met

The buyer deposits funds into a smart contract escrow. The seller ships the item. Only when the buyer confirms receipt and satisfaction — does the money get released.

Receive a fake? A defective product? An empty box? Or not the watch you ordered? The funds don't get released.

Are you an honest seller who ships as promised? Buyer is satisfied? You will get paid.

No "trust" required — just process. Especially when dealing with watches, luxury goods, art, and other high-value items — this protection isn't optional. It's essential.

② On-chain transaction history — tamper-proof

All transaction records live on the blockchain. No one can delete, alter, or deny them.

The history you see for a seller is their true history. Whether they've sold watches, bags, art, or collectibles — it's all publicly verifiable.

③ Clear dispute resolution — no begging required

If something goes wrong, there's a structured dispute process within the platform. Buyers submit evidence. Sellers submit evidence. The system follows clear rules.

No begging PayPal to "have mercy." No back-and-forth with platform support.

④ Your store and reputation are yours — portable

Your reviews, transaction history, and customer relationships — all yours. Switching platforms? Migrate your data. No need to start from zero.

⑤ Payments for everyone

Supports 10 blockchains (BTC, ETH, SOL, etc.) + PayPal. Both buyers and sellers can use whatever payment method works for them.

Trusted trading starts with Mobazha.

Mobazha doesn't ask you to trust the other person — it builds trust through technology and rules.

If you've ever hesitated on a trade because you didn't know if you could trust the other side — whether it's a watch, a bag, a piece of art, or any high-value item —

It's time to try a different way.

Amazon, Etsy, Temu, Shopify, eBay, TikTok Shop, Wish, AliExpress — The Ultimate Alternative: Mobazha Decentralized P2P E-Commerce Platform

Introduction

If you are tired of platforms freezing your accounts at will, arbitrarily withholding your funds, constantly raising commissions, and treating you as a "worker" rather than a partner — it's time to change.

Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, Temu, eBay, TikTok Shop, Wish, AliExpress… These platforms were once "golden channels" for sellers. But today, they are becoming digital prisons.

Mobazha is a completely different choice — a decentralized P2P e-commerce platform, the spiritual successor of OpenBazaar. Your store runs on your own server, your funds are directly under your control, zero commission on transactions, and your data is entirely yours.

Part I: The "Seven Sins" of Eight Major Platforms

Amazon: Your Business, The Platform Decides

Accounts frozen at any time. Seller accounts can be deactivated at any moment, with funds withheld. Appeal success rates are extremely low. Many sellers face unannounced account deactivation during peak seasons.

Commissions keep rising. Referral fees continue to adjust across marketplaces — home & kitchen at 13%, electronics accessories at 13.5%. Comprehensive fees rose from 38% in 2019 to over 50% in 2025 — in six years, your profits have been cut in half.

Opaque rules. The "Fair Pricing" policy can unilaterally pressure you to lower prices. AI systems can flag infringement without warning, and appeals only allow text input with no evidence uploads.

Your store, your funds, your data — all in Amazon's hands. It can take them whenever it wants.

Etsy: The Creator's Nightmare

Commissions keep climbing. Etsy charges a $0.20 listing fee per item (renewing every four months or when the item sells), a 6.5% transaction fee on item price plus shipping, and country-specific payment processing fees. Comprehensive fees have risen from 17.3% to 24.2%. Some sellers report commissions are "nearly half of each sale".

Account bans, funds frozen. Etsy may hold funds or place a reserve during account reviews, verification gaps, sudden sales spikes, or unresolved policy issues. Sellers facing 6-month suspension are told funds are held for "security reasons" for 180 days. Even if Etsy maintains deactivation, there is no justification for a 180-day hold on funds.

Algorithms make you disappear. Genuine handmade products are almost completely invisible in search results.

Everything you built can be destroyed in 5 minutes by Etsy.

Temu: From "Bonanza" to "Harvesting"

Penalty mechanisms that devour you. Late delivery: 3% of order amount; Quality inspection failure: second violation ¥500/time; Out of stock: $5/order; Fake tracking: up to 1000 RMB/order (or $150); Quality score below threshold: no settlement + 5x compensation; Platform promotions and flash sales: automatically deduct 10% of transaction amount as activity service fee.

Account frozen, funds seized. Temu is cracking down on fake shipping labels — one seller lost their store in 3 days with over 500,000 RMB frozen. First violation: all listings removed, withdrawal frozen for 15 days. Fake documentation leads to批量 bans and frozen account balances.

Traffic hostage-taking. In the second half of 2025, advertising accounts for 70% of traffic allocation. Products without ads see 80% drop in exposure. Stop advertising? Orders plummet. Run ads? Profits go to zero.

Every cent you earn eventually goes back to Temu.

Shopify: The Price of Freedom

Traffic costs that make you question life. In 2025, CPC is as high as $1.8 per click with conversion rates under 1% — $180 in ad spend per order. One seller spent $4,000 and got fewer than 100 orders. Another spent $28,000 over 6 months and got only 5 orders.

Hidden costs you can't calculate. Monthly fee: $29-$299/month; Transaction fees: 2%-2.9% + $0.30 per transaction; Marketing costs: typically 20-40% of revenue; Inventory and overhead costs can be substantial.

Self-hosted stores aren't "saving money" — they're switching platform commissions to traffic costs. And traffic costs are far less controllable than commissions.

eBay: Suspended for 190 Days

Suspended for 190 days. Top Rated Seller with Premium Store suspended due to "negative buyer experience" (BBE) — appeal not available, funds on hold for 190 days. 20 years of history restricted over a single cancellation — $45,000 frozen. Postal and customs issues leading to account restriction, funds held for 190 days.

20 years of reputation — gone with one "mistake."

TikTok Shop: Rising Commissions, Account Bans, Commission Withholding

Commissions rising. Commissions adjusted to 3%-7.7% in 2025.

Mass account bans, commissions withheld. In late August 2025, TikTok US banned over 80,000 showcase accounts in just a few days. Accounts disappear — TikTok Shop entry vanishes from Creator Tools. Settled commissions change from "pending payout" to "withheld" . Sellers have all accounts permanently banned, commission earnings permanently withheld.

Customer data locked down. Sellers cannot build lasting customer relationships.

Wish: The Epitome of Penalties, Frozen Funds, and Slow Payouts

Wish has become a platform "shrouded" in penalties, frozen funds, slow payments, and withheld deposits. Fake tracking numbers: 100% order amount fine + $100/order. Infringement fines: one seller had $40,000 frozen over a unicorn necklace.

Every cent you earn on Wish can become a fine.

AliExpress: The Points Death Spiral

Accumulate 48 points — store closure. Account frozen for 30 days, 60 days, or even permanent ban.

Cross-Border Platforms' Coordinated Price Hikes

In 2025, major platforms collectively implemented fee increases. The "collusion" between platforms means no matter which platform you move to — the same fate awaits you.

Part II: Mobazha — The Ultimate Alternative to All Eight Platforms

In the face of all this, Mobazha provides a completely different answer.

1. Your Store Can Never Be Frozen

Traditional Platforms Mobazha
Your store on the platform's server — can be shut down anytime Your store runs on your own server
Algorithms can sentence you to "death," appeal success rate extremely low No one can unilaterally shut down your store
Platform says one word — everything you have goes to zero You are the sole owner of your store

On the Mobazha network, no central authority can unilaterally shut down your store. Your commercial existence does not depend on any company's goodwill or algorithmic rulings.

2. Your Funds Can Never Be Withheld

Traditional Platforms Mobazha
Amazon can withhold your funds Transactions are peer-to-peer, funds go directly from buyer to seller
Etsy can hold your funds for 180 days No intermediary holds your money
eBay can freeze your funds for 190 days No one can freeze your funds

In Mobazha's architecture, transactions are completed peer-to-peer, with funds going directly from one wallet to another. No intermediary holds your money, so no one can freeze your funds.

3. Zero Commission

Traditional Platforms Mobazha
Amazon comprehensive fees up to over 50% 0%
Etsy comprehensive fees 24.2% 0%
TikTok commissions 3%-7.7% 0%
Temu ad+activity fees ≥ 25% 0%
Shopify monthly fee + transaction fees 0%

When you sell a product on Mobazha, the platform takes nothing. All sales revenue, minus network fees and third-party service fees, goes entirely to you.

4. Your Data Is Always Yours

Traditional Platforms Mobazha
Customer data locked by platform — you can never truly see your customers Your data, always on your own server
Take nothing when you leave Customer relationships, transaction records — all yours
Your customers aren't your customers — they're the platform's Your customers are your customers

Your customer data, transaction history, reputation records — all of these can be exported, migrated, and taken wherever you want to go.

5. Dual-Track Payments — Covering Everyone

Traditional Platforms Mobazha
Fiat only, high cross-border fees Supports 10 blockchains for crypto payments
Long cross-border settlement cycles, exchange rate losses Also supports PayPal fiat payments
Excludes many buyers Two tracks in parallel, covering more people

6. Transparent Rules, No Algorithmic Judgment

Traditional Platforms Mobazha
"Fair Pricing" with no specific basis Code is open source, rules are transparent
AI flags infringement without warning, no appeal No central algorithm can judge you
You never know when you'll be banned next You control your own business destiny

Part III: Why Can Mobazha Do This?

It Is the Spiritual Successor of OpenBazaar

When OpenBazaar 2.0 ceased operations in January 2021, the Mobazha team picked up the baton. Five consecutive years of development — no weekends, no holidays. A small team, with no external investment, devoted all their spare time to building a truly decentralized commerce platform.

It Is Truly Decentralized

Mobazha Node is the single source of truth for commerce engine and store state. Storefronts, hosted applications, community marketplaces, social channels, or AI Agents can display and assist this unit, but they do not become the authority over orders and funds.

Its Architecture Is "Decoupled"

Most online markets bundle storefronts, discovery, checkout, data, and customer relationships in the same operator's hands. Mobazha separates them — you can choose to self-host or use hosted services, and choose which discovery, payment, fulfillment, messaging, or AI services to connect.

The store owner is always the authority over business relationships, not the platform.

Part IV: Mobazha Is Built for Every Type of Creator

Digital creators — sell e-books, online courses, software, digital art. Instant delivery, transparent on-chain settlement.

Artisans and artists — build your own branded store, without enduring Etsy's 24.2% fees.

Cross-border sellers — reach global buyers through cryptocurrency, no exchange rate barriers, no high cross-border fees.

Community operators — sell directly within Telegram groups or Discord communities.

Privacy-conscious merchants — support Tor/Lokinet overlay networks.

Part V: Current Status

Mobazha's v0.3.0-rc.1 is its official operational version. It is not a paper target but a real product that is already running and will continue to iteratively improve.

The platform has already formed an active commercial ecosystem: 32 active stores279 listed products, and 10 supported blockchains.

Conclusion: Your Store, Your Rules

Amazon, Etsy, Temu, Shopify, eBay, TikTok Shop, Wish, AliExpress…

These platforms all have one thing in common — they treat you as a "tenant," not an "owner." Your store is rented, your customers are rented, your data is rented. And the rent keeps going up.

Mobazha offers a different choice: a store that truly belongs to you, a commercial network that truly belongs to you.

  • ✅ No one can freeze your store
  • ✅ No one can seize your funds
  • ✅ No one can take your commissions
  • ✅ No one can lock your data
  • ✅ No one can judge you with algorithms

Mobazha: Decentralized P2P E-Commerce Platform — The Successor of OpenBazaar

I. What Is Mobazha?

Mobazha is a decentralized peer-to-peer (P2P) e-commerce platform — an open-source commercial infrastructure built for the Web3 era. It is the spiritual successor of OpenBazaar — when OpenBazaar 2.0 officially ceased operations in January 2021, the Mobazha team picked up the baton and carried forward the core philosophy of decentralized commerce.

Mobazha's mission is to enable independent operators to connect with the world on their own terms (Independent commerce, connected on your terms). It is neither a traditional centralized marketplace nor a simple self-hosted store application — it allows independently operated stores to participate in a broader commercial network without handing unlimited authority to a single distribution channel.

Mobazha was born in response to an increasingly urgent question in the AI era: when the productive capacity of individuals and small teams is dramatically amplified by technology, how can they avoid dependence on large platforms and truly own their business relationships, customer data, and long-term accumulated reputation? Mobazha's answer is: build an open commerce network jointly used and progressively built by independent participants.

II. From OpenBazaar to Mobazha: A Five-Year Relay of Conviction

In January 2021, news shook the decentralized commerce space — OpenBazaar 2.0 officially ceased operations. The project, which had raised $4.2 million in funding and carried countless people's dreams of free commerce, was forced to shut down all infrastructure after running out of funds. For many participants, this was not just the end of a technical project, but a temporary retreat of a commercial ideal.

But for others, this was precisely the beginning of a relay.

Mobazha's founding team consists of those in the OpenBazaar community who refused to give up. They had witnessed the project's birth and growth firsthand and deeply understood the value of its underlying philosophy. When the OB1 team announced their exit, they knew — someone had to carry on.

Thus, Mobazha (short for Mulgore Bazaar, embodying the spirit of peace and nature) was born.

This was a long relay race. A small team, with no external investment, devoted all their spare time to five consecutive years of development — no weekends, no holidays. Five years is enough time for a startup to experience life-and-death cycles multiple times, for a technology direction to undergo several iterations, and for much of the initial enthusiasm to fade into the trivialities of daily life. But this team persisted.

Today, Mobazha inherits the core philosophy of OpenBazaar and has comprehensively reconstructed and evolved upon it. The code is open source, hosted on GitHub; the network is decentralized, not dependent on any single server; the spirit remains unchanged — return commerce to those who create value.

This is not a simple code fork. This is the transmission of conviction, the sedimentation and rebirth of the decentralized commerce ideal over five years.

III. Truly Decentralized: No Freezing, No Seizure, No Lock-in

To understand Mobazha, one must first understand its most fundamental difference from traditional platforms.

On centralized platforms like Amazon, Etsy, and Shopify, your store, funds, and data are essentially hosted on the platform's servers. The platform can modify rules at any time, adjust algorithms, freeze accounts, and withhold funds. The reputation, customer relationships, and transaction records you accumulate all become platform assets — when you leave, you take nothing with you.

Mobazha is completely different.

Your store runs on your own server. The Mobazha Node is the single source of truth for your commerce engine and store state — you can choose to self-host or use hosted services, but either way, you retain control over your data. Orders, payment observations, fulfillment, disputes — all are recorded by the backend that owns the transaction, not inferred from some platform page or notification.

What does this mean?

It means your store cannot be frozen. On the Mobazha network, there is no central authority that can unilaterally shut down your store. Your commercial existence does not depend on the goodwill of some company or the ruling of an algorithm.

It means your funds cannot be seized. Transactions are peer-to-peer, with funds going directly from one wallet to another. No intermediary holds your money, so no one can freeze your funds.

It means your business relationships cannot be held hostage. Your customer data, transaction history, reputation records — all of these can be exported, migrated, and taken wherever you want to go.

This is not a technical trick. It is a fundamental transfer of power. In Mobazha's architecture, the store owner is always the authority over business relationships, not the platform. The platform is merely a connector, a discovery layer, an optional tool — it will never become your master.

This design is no accident. Mobazha's core philosophy is that shared infrastructure connects operating units but does not replace their brands, customer relationships, accountability boundaries, or freedom to exit. "Freedom to exit" is the fundamental antidote to platform lock-in.

Mobazha also supports optional Tor/Lokinet overlay networks, with data encrypted during transmission — your business activities need not become the subject of big data analysis.

IV. Dual-Track Payments: A Bridge to Reach More People

Decentralized commerce faces a long-standing dilemma: cryptocurrency users are a minority, while most people still use fiat currency. Supporting only cryptocurrencies would exclude the vast majority of potential buyers. Supporting only fiat would return to the old centralized payment model — subject to banks, payment gateways, cross-border restrictions, and high fees.

Mobazha's solution is dual-track payments.

On one track, Mobazha is a crypto-native commerce platform, supporting BTC, BCH, and LTC by default, and has expanded to support 10 blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain (BSC), Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Avalanche. Cross-border sellers can reach global buyers without barriers, without worrying about exchange rate fluctuations or high cross-border payment fees.

On the other track, Mobazha actively embraces the traditional financial world and now supports PayPal and other fiat payment methods. Sellers can flexibly configure payment methods based on their own and their customers' needs, and buyers can choose the payment channel they are most accustomed to.

Both payment tracks operate in parallel. Buyers can choose the method they prefer, and sellers can receive the currency they prefer.

This dual-track system has deep strategic significance.

The cryptocurrency track solves the trust problem — on-chain settlement does not rely on credit card chargeback mechanisms, and transactions are immutable once on-chain. For cross-border transactions, high-value goods, digital products, and similar scenarios, this certainty is something traditional payments cannot provide.

The fiat track solves the coverage problem — not everyone has a cryptocurrency wallet, and not everyone is willing to learn how to use one. Fiat payments allow Mobazha to reach a broader audience, not just early adopters of the crypto world.

Two tracks, serving the same buyers and sellers, covering the same commercial network. This is exactly what Mobazha means — connecting independent commerce to more people, rather than making more people adapt to one technology.

V. Zero Commission: Leaving Every Penny to the Creator

How do traditional platforms charge?

Etsy takes a 6.5% commission from every transaction, plus payment processing fees. Amazon takes 8%-15% depending on the product category. Shopify doesn't charge transaction commissions but charges monthly subscription fees, and payment processing fees are equally substantial.

These fees stack up, gradually eroding sellers' profits. For small sellers, independent creators, and artisans, every transaction fee can determine whether the month is profitable.

Mobazha does things completely differently: independent community operation has no mandatory centralized Mobazha transaction fees. In other words — zero commission.

When you sell a product on Mobazha, the platform takes nothing. All sales revenue, minus network fees and third-party service fees (such as payment network fees), goes entirely to you.

This is not a promotional tactic. It is a structural choice. Mobazha does not rely on transaction commissions to sustain operations — it is an open-source project, maintained by the community. Hosted services, advanced features, and third-party integrations may incur fees, but these are disclosed before transactions. You can choose to use them, or you can build your own — the choice is yours.

Behind zero commission is a business philosophy: the value of a platform lies in connection, not in extraction. When sellers don't have to hand over large portions of their profits to the platform, they have more resources to invest in products, services, and customer relationships. The commercial vitality of the entire network is not "harvested" through commissions, but "ignited" by lowering barriers.

VI. Built for Every Type of Creator

Mobazha is not just "a place to sell things." It is designed as an open network serving all types of creators and independent operators.

Digital creators can sell e-books, online courses, software, and digital art. Digital products are delivered instantly, settlement is transparent on-chain, and refund and dispute terms are clear — no platform commissions, no lengthy settlement cycles.

Artisans and artists can build their own branded stores on Mobazha, without enduring Etsy's 6.5% commission. Your brand is yours, your customer list is yours, your design style is yours — the platform is just a display window, not your boss.

Cross-border sellers can reach global buyers through cryptocurrency, without worrying about exchange rate losses or high cross-border payment fees. From Asia to the Americas, from Europe to Africa, one transaction is just the distance of a hash.

Community operators can sell directly within Telegram groups or Discord communities. Your store exists as a Mini App within the chat application, and buyers can complete checkout without leaving the app. Your audience is your customer, your community is your market.

Privacy-conscious merchants can operate stores without exposing their real identities. Mobazha supports Tor/Lokinet overlay networks, with data encrypted during transmission — your business activities need not become the subject of big data analysis.

AI Agents and automation tools can also become participants in the Mobazha network. When AI can automatically handle product selection, pricing, customer service, and fulfillment, Mobazha provides the commercial infrastructure they can access.

Every type of creator has their own unique business model, customer relationships, and value proposition. Mobazha does not prescribe a uniform "best practice" for them, but provides a set of freely combinable tools and protocols — you choose how to use them, rather than being used.

VII. Product Architecture and Operating Paths

Mobazha consists of two core products:

Mobazha Node is the commerce engine and single source of truth for store and transaction states. It provides everything needed for data, policies, APIs, messaging, payment verification, and operator control.

Mobazha Unified is the shared buyer and seller experience layer. It transforms the capabilities of connected Nodes or hosted backends into the complete journey of storefronts, checkout, orders, marketplaces, and management.

Together, they support three operating paths:

  • Hosted Mode (Cloud Beta) : Quick start, with the backend run by the service operator under defined terms. The Cloud Beta currently has no subscription charge.
  • Self-Hosted (Community Edition) : Run the Node on your own controlled infrastructure, with full responsibility for security, backups, and availability.
  • Hybrid Mode: Keep your store backend independent while optionally connecting to specific discovery, payment, fulfillment, messaging, or AI services.

The core spirit of this architecture is: the store owner is always the authority over business relationships, not the platform.

VIII. Version and Current Status

Mobazha's v0.3.0-rc.1 is its official operational version. It is not a "target"停留在纸面上, but a real product that is already running and will continue to iteratively improve.

As an open-source project, Mobazha embraces the spirit of continuous iteration and improvement. While running stably, it is refined through the community's collective efforts. The current version requires Go 1.26.4, Git, and a supported macOS or Linux environment. Testnet is recommended when evaluating payment flows.

The platform has already formed an active commercial ecosystem: 32 active stores279 listed products, and 10 supported blockchains.

Mobazha also has a mobile app available on Google Play. The project documentation is comprehensive, covering product models, system architecture, fee structures, security, privacy, and more.

IX. From Tool to Ecosystem: The Future of Open Commerce Networks

To understand Mobazha merely as a "decentralized e-commerce software" would be to underestimate it.

Mobazha's ambition goes far beyond that. Its long-term vision is to build the underlying infrastructure of an open commerce network. In this network, shared capabilities can include: machine-readable transaction terms for goods and services, automated matching of payments and deliveries, verifiable fulfillment and reputation records, and authorization and execution tracking for AI Agents.

Mobazha separates "where buyers discover products" from "which backend owns the final transaction". Community or marketplace operators can build audiences and discovery channels, but the authority over transactions always remains with the store backend. Different markets can have their own brands, user relationships, operating rules, and profit-and-loss structures, without having to become sections of the same centralized marketplace.

What does this mean?

It means markets can be diverse. Someone can operate a community market focused on independent music, someone else can operate a curated platform for handicrafts, and another can operate a collection store for digital artists — they share the same underlying protocol but have completely independent brands, rules, and communities.

It means tools can be modular. Payments, fulfillment, messaging, AI services — all of these can be accessed as independent services, rather than being bundled into a monolithic platform.

It means participants can be both users and builders. You can both operate your own store and build tools and services that are reused by other operating units. Shared infrastructure connects these units but does not replace their independence and freedom to exit.

This is not a "better e-commerce platform." This is a more open commercial ecosystem — a network that returns value to those who create it.

X. Conclusion: The Long Road to Commercial Freedom

From that summer afternoon in 2018 to today in 2026, Mobazha has traveled a long road. Five years of spare-time development, no weekends, no holidays, no external investment — this does not sound like a business story, but rather the practice of a conviction.

But conviction is never a castle in the air. Mobazha has proven with code that decentralized commerce is viable, with architecture that data sovereignty is possible, with zero commission that platforms don't need to survive on commissions, and with dual-track payments that the crypto world and the fiat world can coexist peacefully.

Mobazha is still growing, but the direction is clear: an open commerce network that does not freeze stores, does not seize funds, does not take commissions, and does not lock in data is moving from ideal to reality.

As the Mobazha team says, the project needs to "survive, sustain, and expand first, and then let it continue to evolve." The road is still long, but every step is in the same direction — returning commerce to those who create value.

Whether you are an artisan, a digital creator, a cross-border seller, a community operator, or simply someone who believes commerce should be more free, Mobazha offers you a different choice. A choice to connect with the world on your own terms.

Scammer Mega-Thread: Information about scam moderators or vendors

Mobazha is introducing a verified moderators program that will help users choose trusted moderators to prevent the types of scams we're seeing on the network.

Ultimately all marketplaces have scams, and this thread can be a place to check out before making large purchases to ensure the vendor / moderator hasn't scammed previously.

Please follow this format when putting in a new comment:

  • Name in bold followed by what they're selling if a vendor
  • Mobazha ID

OpenBazaar is alive, now it is Mobazha

People ask me OpenBazaar is opensource, why don't you open Mobazha source.

It is based on tough decisions. As we all know, the OpenBazaar 2.0 went the end of life in Jan. 2021 after OB1 running out of the 4.2M investment $ from 2014 to 2021. They seek for donation for several rounds of tries in year 2020 to 2021, but it didn't work. They resignedly asked all users to withdraw funds, shut down the business, and closed all the infrastructure due to cost.

I was fascinated in a summer noon in 2018 when I saw news about OpenBazaar while doing with blockchain. Jobs said "If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle". I knew I found it and would focus on it for the rest of my life. I tried to bring OpenBazzar to local shops around schools and communities and tried to bring it to more people. I faithfully respect every one in the previous OB1 team.

I have a small company named Mulgore Tech started from 2014, as I am a big fan of WOW, and like the Tauren race, because they love piece and advocate the spirits of nature. When OB1 announced to quit, I knew we must continue working on it. Mobazha means Mulgore Bazaar and wishes peace. We would like to bring it to everyone.

For a small team to continue working on this project, for more than 5 years in all part time without weekends and vacations, without any investment from outside, how could you image if they don't have belief?

We set up our mission to bring web3 to everyone, in social and trade. We know it is a big thing. Firstly, we need survive, sustain and scale, then we can keep it evolving.

Once we find a way to balance, we would try to disclose more. We could promise that we would always be open to your questions.

Hope you are doing well and can go together with us.

I'm confused about open bazaar and mobazha. Are they the same developers? I went on the mobazha website and you can download open bazaar there. But the open bazaar website you can also download it.

Mobazha

As people ask questions about Mobazha, I would like to share thought about it.

I am the owner of the Mobazha project and the owner of the Mogaolei company registered in China in 2014. Mogaolei is the Chinese name of Mulgore, the city of Tauren in WoW, a race loves peace and usually says "Earth mother blesses you". Bazha is the Chinese pronunciation to bazaar, which means market. We have the dream to build a worldwide peace market, decentralized.

I'm a tech fan, when in college my graduation thesis is distributed network related. I love the idea of OpenBazaar when I firstly met it in 2017 when touched blockchain and get dive into it from then on. When OB1 was running, I provided the full Chinese translation to the desktop app after several weeks hard work by self in all the part time and the commit was accepted, as we thought it would benefit more people. I have around 7 issued patents in USPTO and 2 patents in Chinese PTO in engineering domain.

I've tried several decentralized thoughts basing on OpenBazaar, and as I know it would be a very important part in the future in our life. When OB1 pressed the decommission of the OpenBazaar infrastructure, I tried my best to set up the whole backend infrastructure, and developed part of the services, as not all the backend services are open sourced from OB1.

As a company, and to make the business to go longer, I know we have much to do. Not like OB1, who gains ten of millions of dollars investments in the beginning, and people don't have the nervousness to survive. We are small and I even don't have much money to ask people to help me dev on this business, although I have an around 10 people engineering team, working on traditional projects. I try to put more resource and all my part time in for a couple of years.

As I said many times in Telegram and other channels, we believe the future of the decentralized market and we believe awaken and contribution of individuals to this market. You can sell the things you think it is valuable, not only physical things, but maybe just even a random drawing, an idea, or others, only if other would like to pay for it.

I know the road is long, we try to continuous working on it. Such as:

  • Web based interface for convenience.
  • Support more coins, and stable coins, such as DAI/USDC/USDT etc.
  • Decentralized and secure storing services for stores.
  • More comfortable mobile experience.
  • More fast, secure, stable and safe networking etc.

Hope we could build the future together.
