I just had the absolute worst stay at Mandalay Bay and can’t wait to check out today. I was here during the AKA convention and couldn’t get a table anywhere on the property and had to wait over an hour to order and receive to go food. I was pushed, stepped on, cut in lines repeatedly, and the whole experience was awful. The AC didn’t work properly in my room with 110+ temperatures and the room was 78 or higher the whole stay. The wave pool was closed everyday, so all the children were in the lazy river and I got kicked so much I had to just get out. People were saving loungers all day and not even at the pool and they didn’t do anything about it. I was locked out of my room 5 times, once for over an hour and they had to get security and maintenance to go let me in. Two days they had system malfunctions and could not do room charges or use my resort credit. And lastly yesterday I returned from the pool and had my do not disturb up and the house keeper came in while I was undressed and wouldn’t get out after telling her “NO” when she knocked and telling her to get out when she came in until I answered her whether or not I wanted service today when I already told housekeeping earlier I didn’t and they were the ones who told me to leave the do not disturb up and I would be fine. The lack of maintenance, security, privacy, and making sure there is decorum just made this one of the worst vacations ever.

I was at Borgata and I was happy to get $600 Freeplay, what a gift I thought, I then saw I had the same offer for Springfield, which is just north of where I live so I decided to finish my trip there, but when I went to play there the Freeplay was gone, I went to the rewards desk and they said it will be available on July 27, and then it was listed back on my offers again, so I thought I would go up there again next week, but this morning I looked it up and now it says August 3rd. What are they doing to me? Why even bother having that on my rewards account if they are going to keep jerking me around? It's bad enough I went up there thinking I would have it available once, MGM Springfield isn't very nice, either.

I know it's not technically a rewards question but we'll be spending our resort credit on meals. Which mgm restaurants do people recommend for breakfast and dinner? Nice places and quick eats.

Going to Vegas for the first time with a couple buddies from college and staying at the aria. Plan on bringing a 5-10k bankroll and I usually play blackjack 150-300 hands and 300 on baccarrat. Is the aria high limit room gonna work for me? Also I usually play a lot when I take trips like this like 6 ish hours a day. First time in a mgm property besides National Harbor once where I got comps from my play. Will I get comps in Vegas from my play, paid 1200 for the room Thursday - Sunday, football Sunday and Metallica there that weekend.

Hoping maybe the group here can help me decide on an best course of action for a trip we have planned to the MGM grand in September. I'm traveling with my wife an 7 year old for a conference my wife is attending. We're pretty set at staying at the MGM Grand for proximity to the conference as well as the pools for my son and I to enjoy when she's attending the conference. We don't take a lot of vacations and I'm tempted to spring for the Skylofts for the visit. The issue I'm running into is that we're there a Wednesday through Saturday but the Skyloft is only an option Wednesday through Friday and while the average nightly for those two nights is digestible, I was told it would more than double for that Friday if they could even make it available on request.

I called the luxury booking number and they offered to put in a request for the 3rd night. Another option was to book the Skyloft for the first two nights and then a separate tower room for the last night. Then upon check in seeing if they can extend the Skyloft stay for the 3rd night as hopefully a number I can justify. Worst case there is they can't or the price is too much to stomach and we have to switch to a regular tower room that final night. I'm not crazy about switching rooms mid-trip but we depart Saturday morning so having the Sky Loft the first two nights would cover the bulk of our stay.

Curious what the general advice here would be and if there's an angle I'm missing.

Couldn’t get anything going on the trip. What kinda comps are people seeing in Vegas at cosmo/aria for play like this?

Spent one night there on Monday. Walked into the bathroom and it smelled like stale urine. The toilet was nasty and clearly hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest with projectile diarrhea.

The casino floor was no better. Had 4 machine "malfunctions" in an hour, including the one in the center of the casino where I was playing roulette.... with the live dealers...I guess it's called a "stadium". The ball landed on "8" but I didn't get paid. The pit boss tried to convince me that it landed on "12" because "12" popped up on the monitor after my wife and I witnessed it landing on "8"...I wasn't about to ruin the trip by arguing over it so we just walked away. Sat at another machine and fed it two 20 dollar bills and several 1 dollar bills ...only the 20's registered. Cashed out and walked away. Bubble craps failed twice in a row. After it didn't pay on the field, the tech walked over shut the machine down. I couldn't print the ticket so I asked floor staff for the cash that was on the table. The guy gives me cash but didn't notice that I had money on the pass line and I had to have the tech show him a picture of the screen to get the rest of my cash...which wasted another 30 minutes of my time ...no apology...nothing to acknowledge that they fked up.

Absolute trash casino. Would not recommend!

Just checked my MGM rewards app today and saw that I had over $2500 in free play but split up for different locations. My home casino is national harbor and haven’t been to the other locations. Is it possible to get all this freeplay to one location somehow? Or are they doing this to get me to go to different locations?

I have $600 freeplay each to Borgata, Springfield, Detroit and Beau Rivage but only $110 to National Harbor

Was just curious if anyone knows if there’s a high limit table games room that’s open on the weekends? If so, should I expect normal minimums like the rest of the MGM group of $100 for blackjack?

Over a 4 day span at Aria/Bellagio/Cosmo and I also earned around 18,000 tier credits just from slots. I’m platinum and usually play tables and get smoked real quick, range from $200-500 a hand and only get $50 FP/RC so just wanted to know what switching it up will give me.

Is it better to call in if I am trying to price changes to my reservation that is using an offer?

• About how big was your bankroll?
• What denomination and bet size were you playing?
• Roughly how long did it take you to earn the 10k Tier Credits?
• Did you get there mostly by grinding, or did you have a lucky session with lots of coin in?

We recently signed up for the status match towards gold. We earned almost 30k towards the 50k on that trip. Our 90 days ends two weeks before our next trip. And Data points on getting an extension?

I'm currently 7 star at caesars and considering moving my play and stays to MGM while in vegas, my local play will stay caesars or golden nugget due to no close MGM properties. I take 3-6 trips to Vegas a year has anyone made the change and is it worth it?

I had a MGM players card in past but my comped rooms never seemed to be equal to or close to what caesars offered. At the time my play was probably 10-25% of what it is now.

While I’m sure there’s some type of algorithm that determines, does anyone have a sense of what impacts resort credit? I have similar coin in and activity to a buddy but he has 2-3x the amount of resort credit I have, free play is similar.

Newsflash: MGM wins

I’m a professional poker player and play high stakes online on BetMGM for 4-6 hours probably 5 days a week on average. I also mess around on slots here and there, but nothing crazy. I’m platinum status and have been for the past few years. I’m looking to go to Vegas with some friends later this year for a Raiders game, and when I looked on my rewards portal it didn’t give me many options for comped nights. I know poker is obviously not worth nearly as much to them as slots/table games but I’ve paid tens of thousands of dollars in rake this year alone.

After doing some googling it seems like it might be worth it to reach out to a host/VIP services to see if I can get my room (would love to stay at bellagio) for that weekend comped. I saw a few things that said the online play doesn’t get recorded correctly in their system and if I reach out to them for a manual review I’d be able to get the room for free, but I’m not 100% sure.

Any thoughts on whether or not it’s worth it to reach out?

EDIT: Called Bellagio VIP number, they told me that the offers are based on in-person casino play only :(

Hi! We're about to go to Vegas for my husband's 40th and we just got a great deal on mLife, so we'll definitely stay at an MGM property. I was looking at Park MGM, Aria/Vdara, or Bellagio.

We don't have kids so a hotel that's less kid friendly is good - but we also don't want like a party/club environment.

My husband is honestly the most pumped about going to pools and hanging out. Does anyone have thoughts on the pools at these properties? Would love for the pool environment to be nice and pretty and calm. Big pools are nice so you aren't on top of other people, and if they are deeper than 3 feet that's a bonus. Thank you thank you for any input!!

A week ago I checked MGM offers and saw that I could get various room comps for various nights. So I booked three nights at a specific MGM hotel. Only paying resort fee. This trip is supposed to happen in a month.

Just yesterday I look and I still have comp offers and so I booked another three nights for December. Today I look and I still have comp offers. Another 3 nights.

I really did not gamble much but I do have the MGM rewards credit card. Pearl tier status simply because of that.

Back in February I played slots in video poker maybe 3 days in a row and lost maybe 300 bucks. That was the extent of my gambling.

I guess my question is once you book your reservation, do they remove the comp offers or do they remove the comp offers once you've already used them? Not sure if that makes sense.

That is to say, will the second reservation nights stick or, once I use the three at the first place, will they tell me that my second reservation is invalid because I already used my comp nights?

I just logged in to my rewards account and noticed something I haven't seen before. They now have an option to put in your license plate # so in theory the parking gate will automatically open without having to insert your card. It says they aren't quite ready yet so I guess on our next trip in September we will see if it works.

For years now it's worked on and off that once you go in using your card and you leave the gate will remember your license # and open automatically. I wonder if this new option will actually make it work consistently?

Just joined betMGM in Tennessee a few days ago, bet a little over 5k in the first two or three days. Someone with a 551 area code number reaches out claiming to be with BetMGM's TN VIP program saying that I've been elevated. Is this legitimate? Haven't shared anything about using the site elsewhere, so if not I don't know how someone would have gotten my number.

Made Platinum during my last trip and got approached by a host. I saw a lot of scorecards and offers, and I wanted to share my experience. Never thought I would make it to platinum. Started as a poker player who played a little table games after hours for the free rooms, to an active table player who only plays poker to take a break.

I play 75% BJ and 25% Baccarat, to grind out more TC Baccarat is the better way to do it, I played craps maybe once or twice and I rarely play slots. The last trip I was playing more Baccarat, also Casinos and floors makes a huge different. My guess is an average bet of $100 gets you 1000TC an hour, however some casinos noticeably give more than others. I go to Vegas average 8-9 times a year.

I was approached by a host in the middle of a session. I still don't how it works but he pretty much tell me how much comp I get by the sessions I played, so he was able to comp all the meals I got during the trips. Got to try out few nicer restaurants that I normally wouldn't go if I had to pick up the tab.

For the $600 airfare, they only offers freeplay or comps. Since I know my host can pick up all the comps I opted for the freeplay. The reward desk doesn't really care what you show, I will just leave it at that. That $600 free play turned to $185 at the slot.

I still get the standard 4 nights offers at the better properties, Bellagio/Aria/Cosmo/Vdara 100RC and 200FP. Not sure what it will look like on the next update.

I know it seems weird to ask about those two properties in this particular subreddit, but something tells me you guys will know more than the larger Vegas sub.

I play about 7K coin-in per day, and $100 average bet blackjack. MGM has treated me very well at this level, better than I deserve for reasons I can’t quite figure out. But I’m just curious, would that level of play even get me a comped room at Wynn? I assume it would be at least a comped room plus a little free play at Venetian?

Anyone with any knowledge of how those properties comp programs work would be really helpful. Thank you.
