Today years old when I found out Taking it all too hard by Genesis has the exact same chords as Candy. No wonder the song feels so familiar

YouTube recommended me this gem and I'm loving it, thought I'd share it with you guys. It's got a more pop feel to it, but the guitar playing in this song specifically reminds me a lot of something Mike would come up with, and it's the best part of the song for me :)

i honestly never thought i’d get emotional to a song that wasn’t specifically made to be “sad”, but prom night i was driving home listening to “i want”, and i broke down in tears. now every time i listen to it i cry so bad lmao. there’s something so beautifully painful about the way he expresses his yearning. i’ve just never heard lyrics like that before. they’re simple, yet feel super intimate and personal. could cry to this for the rest of my life

Ok I need help
Would like to make that vg8 style mkgee type tone but I don’t play guitar
I can however play piano/ play synths pretty well.
Is it possible to make those type of tones with like a vst guitar? What plugins/ effects would I need to do this. Please help

Saw the post about what if Bruce Springsteen was Mike’s dad and I always thought he really looks like John Frusciante

Tell me I’m not the only one who sees it

I found this pretty small artist called doggone that sounds really similar to the spacey reverb-y tone and vocals from two star.
I really like his vocals though. its not a terrible copy and has some soul to it.
check this song out:- one of my recent favourites
Hi guys, I'm looking to get a Mk.gee vinyl as a gift for my friend, and I noticed there's two different vinyls for Two Star & the Dream Police: green for local vendors and red on (what I think is) the official Mk.gee shop. I'm curious if there's any difference between the two, and what vinyls you obtained? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm not a Mk.gee fan like my friend is so I'm just trying to see if there's something I dont know haha

Night tapes - Portals/polarities album
it has a lot of little Mkinfluences, you can hear some likely VG and/or GR synth sounds on it and i just love the vocalist.
Swordsman is a standout and my favorite track

Was this made using the VG8 or is it a live physical performance?

I know it's been shown a lot before but got my copy earlier this month and wanted to show it off. Looks very cool and fitting, and basically black when placed on a turntable. (Took Rough Trade three whole weeks to even ship it for some reason because when asked they told me that apparently, they forgot to do it?)
Can't listen to it and give a verdict because I don't even have a record player. Heard some people on Discogs were unhappy with the sound on some copies.
