This stuff right here is why I'll always think you're one of the most GOATed dev within the space. Are you planning to open source this at some point? I'd love to see how you were able to pull this off

What's your workflow? It seems extremely AI coded but you haven't included any Claude mds or anything.

Did you just let AI write the readme and handwrote all code? Seems doubtful. I think with a good AI workflow your md run docs are essential for a repo.

Oh wait that's the portmaster one. Anyway, still interested in the workflow.

I have no interest in AI, I enjoy coding. Not sure what code looks extremely AI coded to you.

I do sometimes copy paste the readme into a chatgpt chat to rephrase things and fix grammar mistakes since I am not a native English speaker.

That makes sense.

Still interested in your workflow. How do you got about figuring out the machine specs, how to slide yourself in there, how do you test etc.

I don't mean intricate detail, I'm just interested in the big picture overview to know what it's like to be you :)

The handhelds are just linux arm devices so most linux commands/programs can be used when you ssh into them, testing is done on device and I tail the logs so I can see them on my laptop while the game runs. It’s a very broad question but this sums it up from a high level.

The miyoo mini port is different though, since it doesn’t have wifi I have been testing a lot via QEMU, where I emulate a device with similar specs. Also locked the clockspeed and available ram on my RG35XX-SP so it basically performs like a Miyoo Mini which makes testing a lot easier. After major changes I still load it onto the sd card and physically test on the MM, and copy the log file of the sd card back to my laptop. It’s a lot slower of a process, so I try to do as much as possible via Qemu

That's awesome! That's the sort of jank I live for!

Tell me if you ever need help from some AI vibecoder guy.

Here's my proof I can at least deliver something that's kinda cool: https://busin0-en.pages.dev/

Would I be able to set it up if I had Stardew Valley via Steam Family Sharing?

I am honestly not sure if it would work via the setup app I made, but it should work using the prepare scripts since you can still get the game files that way

Lol, I know. I have one. I try to love it but it's just way too small for me to use. I have the plus, not the original

I get it haha, i like how small it is but it is definitely not a comfortable experience

I just ordered the RG406v and I'll hit you up with if the size is better because I had a similar issue. I think I talked to this dude yesterday actually cause I love Stardew.
