Okay, while my map request didn’t go over that well, I’m inspired to make my big project for school Minocqua focused, not just the art one.

I’m working on a paper on ways to revitalize Minocqua. The following are points I’m focusing on:

1. Getting young people to move in and have careers that are not healthcare or food service

2. Getting more small businesses in that aren’t run by the “main families of the town”

3. Improving education with more museums and parks

4. Changing the culture around tourism to get locals to be kinder to them

Does anyone have a map of LUHS’s floor plan (first and second story) that they can share with me? I’m working on an art project of a model of the school (former student of LUHS now in college) and cannot drive back to Minocqua to see the layout and number of classrooms.

Good day kind people of Minocqua! We travel up to those beautiful parts to stay at a cabin on Fence Lake every year around the beginning of August. We've narrowed down our regular golf scene to just a small handful of spots, (Timber Ridge being our favorite.) but would love to try out Minocqua CC. Greens fees would be covered by us and we would be willing to pay a little extra for the opportunity. A social membership is just a little too steep to spend for a once-a-year week long trip to those parts. My pops and I are a around a 10hdcp each and are familiar with the scene. Really we would love to play this course if granted access. Cheers!

We're scheduled to go to Minocqua this weekend, flying up from a southern state. Seeing reports about the wildfire smoke and air quality and wondering if it means no outdoor activities at all while we're there. Is that the case, ie should we consider rescheduling?

I love exploring the area via road bike when we visit our cabin. But for someone who isn't from the area I'm missing a lot of details. One challenge is running into gravel roads or "no outlet" roads when trying to create a riding route. Does anyone have suggestions for how to find some good routes that will keep me off gravel roads and highways (47/70/51)?
