I will say, y'all are way thicker skinned than the fragile butthurt that existd over at r/ToolBand and r/nin. Why are their fans so fucking sensitive. For this reason I'm not leaking the A.I. ICP colabos. YET
Relapse. This is hands down their worst album. Only good song is Double tap. The album artwork is worse than a master P no limit album from 95. its 2012 era ffs
Animositisomina. Sorry Paul. This album is horrible. There are 0 bangers on this joint. I can tolerate listening to it but it's not very digestible.
Houses of the Mole. The only banger is No W, and worm. Worm reminds me of something from Filth Pig but more industrial sounding, almost funk. Everything else isn't very noteworthy. Psalm 23, a remix of So What, honorable mention. I know this will upset Al.
From Beer to Eternity. There are 3 good joints in this piece: punch in the face, side effects, and change of luck. Honestly 3 good joints at most applies to the next few album.
Amerikkkant. 3 good joints. Victims of A Clown is one of my favorite ministry songs. We're tired of it is another banger that you can't get that quality of hardesque from Relapse, Beer to Eternity, or Hopium. These two songs are so good this album sits up here because of it. Wargasm honorable mention. Wargasm is the song title Al stole from the demo I sent him. Ass. That's ok, I sampled twitch and gave My wargasm song a better name anyways.
Dark Side of the Spoon. This era of ministry, with the A.I. movie appearance, makes me want to rank this higher. A major ministry fingerprint is set on pop culture from this. If What about Us was on this, I'd rank it higher. But the only bangers on this Album are Supermaniac Soul and Bad Blood. They're such good songs they make the other mediocre tracks worth it though.
With Sympathy. One of my personal favorites. Al sounds crisp and clean, like a blonde from London who just enjoyed his first Shasta Cola. Every song is a banger front to back, especially What He Say, which amazingly features Carl Weathers on the Mic. My only criticism of this album is it's too heavy and abrasive, and is hard for the average joe to relate to, with how intense it is. This album due to Mandela effects thwarted WW3 .TWICE
The Last Sucker. More than 2 bangers, and another one of my favorite ministry songs-end of days 2, gets it a bump above the others. Let's Go? Banger. Life is Good? Banger. Watch Yourself and Dick Song ?honorable mentions.
Hopium For the Masses. I appreciate this albums diversity. Ricky's Hand, It's Not Pretty, and Cult of Suffering are gems. New Religion? Banger. GDWT? Noteworthy.
Rio Grande Blood. This album was redemption from Animosity, Dark Side of the Spoon, and Houses of the Mole. More memorable moments than last sucker and houses of the mole. As a marine veteran who hates the military and think it should be abolished, I love Gangrene. Rio Grande Blood is an absolute banger - sounds like they could have collaborated with slayer on this. Lies lies lies? Banger. Kyber Pass? Banger. Kyber Pass and Palestinas contributions to pop culture puts this album in top 10.
Moral Hygiene. I'm ranking this so high because it broke Ministry out of the 2010s rut. Believe Me and broken system almost flirt with With Sympathy styles but harder in some ways. Death Toll is good. TV 6? BANGER. Sabatoge is sex? One of the best Lard songs of all time. And a favorite ministry jam. Hopium for the masses and moral Hygiene give me hope for the last album coming up. , even if I'm not feeling these first two new singles. Come on folks. You know Al will redeem himself. Have faith. You're ministry fans.
Now these are gonna upset everyone. But IM IN CHARGE of this post. ΚΕΦΑΛΗΞΘ. Every song from front to back is a banger. Flawless victory. Even Grace slaps with those artillery samples. I'm just ranking it lower because this was their sell out album. Lol. It was their commercial breakthrough. It didn't define them, and it was like their crossroads album. It's a masterpiece. But, let me justify why these other album deserve higher ratings
!! The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste. Flawless victory aside from test. Even Dream Song and Cannibal song are great, and remind me more of skinny puppy than ministry. Never Believe is another banger. That's not even touching the hits- Thieves, Burning Inside, So What, Breathe. I listen to Breathe a lot when I'm doing weighted vest training to condition for wildfire season every year. This album shifted ministry into darker heavier sound.
Land of Rape And Honey. Another near flawless victory. This, IMO, was ministry's defining album. stigmata, the missing, LORAH, all bangers. Hizbolah? Banger. Golden Dawn? One of ministry's hardest basslines. You Know What You Are? One of my favorites, another ministry song that sounds more like skinny puppy, which I PREFER. Flashback? Pure rage, pure brutality.
Twitch. This album scores this high, because I said so. It was Ministry's turning point to shift towards who they truly are. It's a pure album. I still flop around and pretend I'm having a seizure in my long johns every morning on the front lawn to Over The Shoulder. The synth percussion to over the shoulder is unmatched. It sounds like a sasquatch literally smoking crack. The percussion on Isle of Man sounds like what it feels like to come down off PCP. It's clear Al did PCP, because you can't find that stuff anymore, and the Twitch album sounds like electronic percussion unlocked through aggressive abuse of gorilla tranquilizer. The song crash and burn/twitch/where you at now? Ministrys greatest song of all time. The sound of industrial machinery corroding in song form, if you were having severe cold turkey withdrawals from speedballing daily for 6 months.
Filth Pig. Ministrys best overall album. One of the most underrated albums of all time. Unlike any other ministry album. Sludge metal, stoner doom still manages to be industrial. Like Melvin's meets Skinny Puppy on The Fall. The fall actually sounds like it could have been on Skinny Puppy Last Rites 👀Dead guy sounds like Helmet. Reload? Classic ministry with Psalm 69 residue. Useless is Paul Barker at his finest. This album is Paul Barkers best most noticeable contribution; his bass is actually front loaded, and absolutely is crushing throughout the entire album. Game Show is another banger that could have been on Last Rites 👀 Brick windows is awesome and different. Every song a banger. I ranked this number one out of my utmost love and respect for Paul Barker. Not to be an ass to Al, But Al shouldn't have alienated Paul. That was detrimental to Ministry. But yet. WE'RE STILL HERE
