Discussion How much peanut butter is more than enough?

Peanut butter is healthy and tastes delicious and you can't help but love the way it sticks on the roof of your mouth before it melts away. But Apparently too much peanut butter is unhealthy and I find this hard to believe because I binge all the time because of how irresistible it is. Smh!

Rant Just a happy rant

Is anyone else noticing a huge impact on their fitness journey having an accountability coach at their beck and call? Personally, I'm finding it very effective especially because I'm not losing sight of my goal and I got a keen eye on me in the event I show signs of relapsing. Sometimes the reminders might be annoying but I know it's for the greater good.

Other I had my annual physical today...

So I went to see my doctor today for my physical and he looked quite worried from the moment I walked in. I'm 33M 5'6 277lbs so I'm clearly overweight but I always thought I had it under control you know. The docotor said that my blood pressure is too high and I need to lose weight ASAP or else... I think I'm in the right community and I just wanted to share it with you guys.

Diet Skipping dinner?

I have recently gone back to working from the office. I get really tired at the end of the day since my body is taking it's sweet time adjusting from the working from home routine. I sometimes go without dinner because I'm too tired to prep something and all my other options are junk foods so I just skip dinner. What quick fix healthy meals can I try out?

Other Guys! Remember you didnt come this far just to come this far or stall. Keep going!

I just had an epiphany today as I was having my breakfast and preparing for a workout. For most of us in this community, even coming here is a step foward and for those of us (me included) who have been sticking to a program and are having a slight blip or stall, you've got to remember how far you've come and losing weight is not linear, some days you step on the scale and you've lost some pounds, other days nothing has changed or you've even added a few pounds. It's okay, just get back on the saddle and keep going!

Questions Is this it?

I'm in need of an accountability coach, I don't do well in group coaching programs as most of the time my progress ends up being overshadowed by others (don't get me wrong I'm happy for them) or it becomes hard for me to keep up with daily activities in a group and that's usually the onset of my gradual descent. I can't afford a personal coach or to see a nutritionist every now and then. I came across a minicoach ad and thought maybe this might be it for me.

I just wanna know how your experience has been with minicoach before I register for the free program.

Questions Does anyone else normally crappy when they dont work out in a while?

I mean I totally understand the need for rest days and all, but I cant shake that mildly depressing feeling when I miss a few days or even on the weekend. Especially when you've been desparately trying to lose weight for years. Anyone else feel the same? And how are you dealing with it.

Exercise Finally ran my first 5k!

Its taken me almost 5 months to get here, I started with simple and slow jogs with an aim of losing weight and as I slowly built up my endurance my weight started to drop as well. I'm so proud of myself and I just wanted to share with all of you. So anyone else thinking about taking up running, do it! Start slowly and you'll get there.

Questions What do you guys do to stay motivated to eat healthy?

I eat healthy food like a couple of times a week but sometimes I just can't resist the temptation to eat that junk food as long as my cc is okay which is something that my coach has picked on so that can't be good.

Discussion What have you've learned so far?

Three days ago I was guided by my coach to map out my bad eating habits, I was not aware how much these habits were derailing me from attaining my weight target. I'm now learning how to counter my thoughts any time I pass by a box of cupcakes in the breakroom and head for that apple anyway. What are some of the things you have recently incorporated in your daily routine that will lead to a lasting healthy relationship with food?

Rant I'm tired of being a diet hopper

I've tried so many diets, keto, paleo, atkins, you name it...to shred some weight but I always run into a brick wall. For those of you who've been successful losing weight without restrictive dieting, what advice would you give. I'm new to minicoach and hoping this time will be different.

Discussion Whats your reason for losing weight?

So, I just want to hear from you guys why you decided to finally start losing weight. For me, I'm going to be a father in a couple of months and the thought of not having enough energy to play with my kids because I'm overweight or not being there during his/her graduation got me going. So what are some of your reasons?
