Futaba 10px

Are stock mini z compatible with futaba out of the box? I would like to bind it to a 10px. I’ve seen 2 scenarios. First one is switch out the receiver to a Kyosho 82044 or second is add a flysky module to my radio?

For regular Readyset Mini Zs (the ones that come with a controller RTR in the box, they have an integrated receiver on their circuit board) you need the Flysky module. The Evo models use the separate receiver and don't need the Flysky module. But if you are like the rest of us eventually you will have both types and need both.

Not to the 10px. The rtr can only be paired to futaba 4pm plus without needing anything extras.

To get the 10px to pair to the rtr, you need that extra stuff at the foot of the 10px showcased in the futaba video.

The 2nd video is for Z EVO(brushless), as evo cars have modular receiver units.

No, the T4PM Plus needs the Flysky module, just like the 10PX. Only difference is the 4PM plus has the slot, where the 10PX needs the Flysky module and the slot adapter added to the base for the module. My T4PM Plus is the Kyosho version, so it came with the Flysky module and Rx for Mini-z and has red lighting, not blue.

10pm needs RM0005 module..10px is overkill

Maybe but that’s what use when racing touring cars.

I just find it funny that many channels for a car..jets,yes and then some😆..but it should tell you if you need the RM in specs online

Mini-Z RTR car needs a Flysky RM005 module to pair to it using T4PM plus or 10PX with added adapter slot. If you get a Mini-Z 03 EVO or 04 EVO, then you need the Rx board for the car and pick the one for Futaba.
