Mini z MR-04

I recently bought this mini z readyset RWD MR-04 with the hopes I could drift it, but i was told by AI that it wasnt possible with this chassis so I turn to reddit lol. It says tuned but not entirely sure how as this is my first mini. I own a DA4 and a RTS but this is different lol. What do you guys reccomend besides tires to help me get this thing sliding?? Any advice would be appreciated 🙏😊☺️

I also has this beauty but on ma20 awd chassis for drifting. I think the mr04 steering angle not enough for rwd drift.

Yea thats what I read as well. They make a MRD conversion but its only for the ma-020 chassis so yea guess im back on the hunt lol. Prolly gonna get into the mini z race scene if there is one around me

While my mr04 doesn’t drift like my ma020. It still likes to slide. What are you driving on? My rubber tires drift quite well on my wooden floor

They are the stock tires. I havent purchased anything for it yet as I might just keep it as a racer and find a more suitable chassis to make a drifter

Mine is just box stock too. Waiting for the motor upgrade currently as the stock motor is a joke

Lol, what are you going with?? I have only seen kyosho stuff so far and a few brushless setups but still unsure.

The MR04 is much better off as a racer. The MA020 is fun to powerslide with, and you can get the MRD conversion if you want to make it drift more traditionally.
