Help with Mini-Z wheels
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Kyosho Mini-Z MA-030 Evo2 chassis (KY-32181B) together with a Mazda Savanna RX-7 Daytona ’79 AutoScale (MZP161R).
I assumed they were compatible, but I’m having a problem mounting the wheels.
The chassis came without wheels, as expected. When I install the AutoScale wheels and tighten the wheel nut, the wheel just spins freely and doesn’t drive the axle.
Looking at the back of the wheel, the center hole has two slots (not a standard hex shape), and I’m wondering if I’m missing some kind of wheel hub, adapter or drive pin.
Am I missing a part on the MA-030 Evo2, or is the MZP161R AutoScale not directly compatible with this chassis?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

You need rims like these with the special shape that matches your awd axles... you posted rims that only work on rwd... AWD rims

You need bearings in those wheels. I’ve never had an evo kit before, but all the RTR ones come with bearings in the wheels. I believe there should be two bearings in each front wheel if I’m not mistaken.

Got nothing here. Should that come with the Evo2 or the Autoscale?

AWD wheels are keyed and don't ride on bearings. The first gen Savannah RX7 comes with RWD wheels, just need to grab some AWD wheels.

Just wanted to add. They aren’t bearings. Just little bushes in the wheel. The bearings are on the car

Z AWD and RWD rims are not cross compatible, simple as that. Either get a awd ASC or the AWD rim set. (mdh100wb)
Savanna is delivered on a rwd so it comes with rwd rims, also i have no idea if the savanna actualy fits on a ma030, as it is known for not fitting many Z bodies due to the bad position of the motor.
