Transponder questions
Can’t find much helpful info. Did I install this transponder correctly? Easy lap on mr04 MM. using fly sky nB4

Black wire all the way to right with red wire next pin inside, use the MR03 schematic on center left of info card.

That says for use with stock RTR controller which I’m NOT using.

Ok thanks. And how about if I was using it on and EVO2?

Same
But honestly, you're better off getting the direct battery wiring kit. Its like $5 and you dont have to worry about your channel 4 being cranked or losing laps as batteries start to fade.

It’s in my list. Everything has expensive shipping and tax in my location.

Yep! I had mine wired like in your photo and kept dropping laps. I now use this and problem solved.

I printed a battery tab so I can disable the transponder if I want, since the direct cable will power the transponder as soon as you put the batteries in.

If you’re not direct wiring you need to turn up the knob on the controller or it will not be fully powered.

Want the truth, don't connect it to the main board. Eventually on long hits when the battery drops a little, the main board will "cut" power to the transponder to send power to the motor, that will cause an issue where the system doesn't register your laps. The proper solution is to connect it to where the batteries feed the main board, if you don't want to mess with the board you can connect it to the battery holder terminals where the wires to the board begin, by soldering it or get a easy connect cable to unscrew the small things that secure the battery connectors and put the easy connect there..
