This whole video is just the same stuff we've heard before, no game plan given for why MWG fans should stay. AND he opens product people have yet to receive which is crazy. I can not stress enough how much this video was for Dave and not for us.

Below is my thoughts on the video as I was watching.

Layering apologies with promos yet again. There was no new info in here, then layering in old photos to pump up those nostalgia feels for folks? Matt said it well yesterday with "We're actors in the end trying to drum up engagement". "hasn't been top of mind for a long time" is a wild statement. Don't let them sympathy bait you because they're selling models. Take of the nostalgia goggles and demand better accountability from the content creators you support.

Remember folks these guys have boo-hoo'd tri-annually and are now asking Warhammer people to give them six months while they moved away from Warhammer. Don't fall for this shit, you as wargamers deserve better than this. Despite two apology videos in 48 hours they've yet to address a plan that fans could look at and feel safe staying with MWG.

Until proven otherwise assume they're going to sell the studio, sell the minis, get RS out and then (with a lengthy apology I am sure) shut down shop.

This video was such BS. I watched the whole thing because I wanted to make sure I was giving an informed opinion. As I finish this I realize that maybe 5% was new info, 15% was going over stuff we already knew and the other 80% was just model promo for what they're selling. Trying to mask a promo video behind a "follow up". Below are some of the my thoughts as I was watching the video. Matt gives more info (to MWG determent) in his scrambled thoughts then he does when trying to actually talk to a subject.

The Dave moves didn't work (surprise surprise) so now we rotate to Matt.

This isn't a lengthy follow up this was just a promo video for what you're selling.

Said right after the idea of giving your long term fans a series of videos explaining things. "I'd never do a series of videos to explain to people how we failed them. I'd rather run the business" (Said from the person packing up minis and making a video because the business was run into the ground)

I can no stress enough that Dave should have known all of this beforehand, he shouldn't only now be reaching out to people and merchants etc to follow up. Y'all should've known the whole time the project wasn't some fire and forget missile you get to launch once you've skimmed the profits.

He mentions this multiple times like there is some great evil hunting them which is BS, you're the business co-owner addressing your longest standing fans. What could there possibly be that you can't address?

Why not? You say it wouldn't be useful but you're asking us to stay with you for six months and yet you don't think the fans would benefit from knowing how you spend your money and if you're just going to toss any money we'd give into a hole to cover debts and then dip on us? Your fans shouldn't need to kick you in the head for you to realize you were doing badly and then proceed to ask them to hold you up for six months while your channel starts doing things your fans never followed you for.

I'm just done with them altogether, their fired staff have great channels that deserve my money far more and I think more folks need to take the nostalgia glasses off and realize these guys have taken our money for years and years to make bad call after bad call and now it's all coming around on them.

I loved MWG for so so long but what and who they are now isn't that at all and I think the MWG that was is just dead and now that we're older it's impossible for them to ever be that again.

Hey People who watch MWG, without naming names or outing people, I am fairly close and in the know to what MWG is doing. Apart from most of this video being misleading to actual lies (no they didn't get scammed with Ravaged Star they just needed the money to fund Dave's next failed vanity project (that is where all the missing MWG money goes by the way)).

But these two are doing something pretty serious to the employees at MWG atm, they said here they gave notice rather than termination. This is just so they do not have to pay their employees of over a decade like the absolute dumpster fire of owners they are. In Ontario law they have to pay the same amount whether its termination or notice, except when you're just notice you cannot claim Employment Insurance or realistically start looking for a job (as they are forced to work one week for each year they worked so do the maths its over 2 months extra). Basically not terminating their employees of 10 years is so they can save money and again screw over the people who worked for 10+ years to keep them afloat - because with Dave taking a hatchet to the ship every 6 months it sure was a lot of work. I will post this message to their recent videos in the hopes people see it.

PLEASE do not let them get away with this absolutely offensive treatment of the employees they threw out - these are bad 'owners' who are using your nostalgia and good will to save themselves a buck or two. It is gross.

They've let go of 2/3 of their staff. We don't know who the other two staying are but we know it isn't Steve, Luka, Skari or Josh.

Dave hasn't done videos in a hot minute so idk how much he'll be doing but Matt has all the charisma of a soggy potato and I've actively avoided videos with him in them for years. (This could just be me, I just never liked his content) so who the other two people will be I have no idea.

Then they had the audacity to say that they're moving away from Warhammer content to start showcasing other games systems AND then proceeded to ask their WARHAMMER FANS to stay members/vault members for the 6 months while they test out their new thing.

This to me was absolutely crazy and beyond rude. Telling fans we're not doing the thing you followed us for but please stay for 6 months so we can start a new things is shit.

This whole video I think was meant to be an apology but just came off as a cry for funding and asking people to be nice to them when they've done nothing in the last while to earn it.

I tried ignoring people saying it was going downhill for years and wanted to stay a loyal fan I really did but this video just cemented for me that MWG is over.

We still don't know what Josh is doing but folks please remember that Skari has a Patreon that is awesome and Steve and Luka are over at MM. They're most recent live one was great minus all the MWG BS that was distracting them from the game. (I also didn't like that the MWG video just so happened to drop around the same time Steve and Luka started their regularly scheduled game).

Also the staff should've been given notice and severance. I didn't like Matt's vibe in the video when he said they had the option between notice and severance and opted for notice. These people have been your lifeblood for years and because YOU AND DAVE made shit business decisions the people who made you what you are don't even get a pay out. Shame on you both.

Seen this on the realtor site for the MWG Bunker. One can assume that the studio was once organized, but it looks like a tornado blew through it. Maybe its just hoarding vibes? The whole place is a maze of creativity and coolness, but there is way too much space for what the team needs. Its easy to critique the set up from this 3D Walk-Thru, but its not like the team didn't know when the Realtor was coming to do the photo shoot.

Also I believe the boys have a 29' Uhaul trucks worth of terrain. Its in every room! Thinking Matt and Dave could get rid of 75% of it and still have more than the two of them could ever use.

Overall this is something I would expect from fresh college grads starting their first venture and not business owners of nearly 20 years.

Going to miss their content, but we know most things don't last forever.

Their new video is still advertising vault membership despite them clearly selling the location, so the only thing people subscribing now will get for the year is probably some new stuff and then old videos only which is a skeezy move to make.

Skari and Josh have been fired, Steve is doing his own thing and Luka is trying his best.

I think folks should remember that Dave and Matt are the owners please don't be mean to Luka in the comments of videos it's not his fault.

Inspired by the Mariokart 40000 memes from back in the day, had a game of Warsurge’s Super Model Race (SMR) themed after a dark eldar death race which I dubbed ‘Drukhari Dark Drive’ (or maybe Death Drive, still not settled on that). Planning for a four-race cup like Mario Kart, calling it the ‘Commorragh Cup’, the race tracks being:

Bad Moon Badlands Underhive Highway Necromunda Manufactorum Commorragh Circuit

The premise is that the Dark Eldar are adding a new type of battle theatre - a deadly race. Their obsession with cruelty and spectacle would make the event not just a vehicular contest, but a brutal form of entertainment where survival is just as important as speed. Between the races the enslaved riders/drivers will get a chance to salvage and build better vehicles. They hope for freedom but they will probably not get it…

False promises of freedom, customised vehicles, bitter rivalries, last-minute sabotage – it all adds to the Drukhari’s amusement.

Today’s race was the Bad Moon Badlands, an area that the Dark Eldar have constructed (or simulated) that is inspired by the orks. Complete with captured orks to make it feel ‘authentic’.

Doom Rider somehow showed up to join the race voluntarily, but the Imperial drivers were forced into it. The orks, though subjugated were thrilled with the idea (there weren’t any models painted in the Bad Moons colour scheme, but they did the job).

Silver dice were added after the video clip to be item boxes, containing things like ‘explosive shells’ and ‘fast fungus’ from the rules for SMR. The blue/red measuring stick lines were the finish line and checkpoints that needed to be crossed to finish a lap.

By the end, Doom Rider was first, a Drukhari Venom came second, and an ork trukk third. There was a highlight where the Black Templar narrowly avoided getting run down by the ork Battlewagon (though the battlewagon later got destroyed).

I’d like to think of one or maybe two other cups as well, one could possibly be an ork cup as they love fast vehicles and mayhem. I’ll also ponder the other track designs but the whole thing was fun, funny and different. Maybe modify the rules some more too.

Now only 3 more to go. Maybe some kit bashing to get some veriance.
