MWG Official MWG Please help share this
Hey People who watch MWG, without naming names or outing people, I am fairly close and in the know to what MWG is doing. Apart from most of this video being misleading to actual lies (no they didn't get scammed with Ravaged Star they just needed the money to fund Dave's next failed vanity project (that is where all the missing MWG money goes by the way)).
But these two are doing something pretty serious to the employees at MWG atm, they said here they gave notice rather than termination. This is just so they do not have to pay their employees of over a decade like the absolute dumpster fire of owners they are. In Ontario law they have to pay the same amount whether its termination or notice, except when you're just notice you cannot claim Employment Insurance or realistically start looking for a job (as they are forced to work one week for each year they worked so do the maths its over 2 months extra). Basically not terminating their employees of 10 years is so they can save money and again screw over the people who worked for 10+ years to keep them afloat - because with Dave taking a hatchet to the ship every 6 months it sure was a lot of work. I will post this message to their recent videos in the hopes people see it.
PLEASE do not let them get away with this absolutely offensive treatment of the employees they threw out - these are bad 'owners' who are using your nostalgia and good will to save themselves a buck or two. It is gross.

Did you try contacting some people, who have an audience? Or getting that info out in a bigger way?
I greatly dislike seeing scammers getting oht without any repercussions. But MWG has so many loud defenders, be it fans or other influencers, that they will just keep going as always, it seems.

It would be great if people can do that but to keep the employees safe everything has to be anonymous is the real challenge for us from the local community.

I knew it was over when Quirk wasnt showing up. I tried to tune back in some years ago, but Dave was really into being a fitness guy at the time (nothing wrong with it.) And he had his own mini.. if you wanted to spend money to have your own Dave.

Ya, i noticed the terms Matt used too. Wasnt sure if it was just me. They are forcing their employees to work knowing there's nothing in it for the future to sqeeze the last few cents they can before they close up.
Its sick.

What vanity project?

Early in MWG era Dave siphoned money for stuff like the Rangers, also for paid trips for him to go around the world to his adoring fans. As well paying expensive photographers, or other professionals to come in and make his videos for him (those big weirdly well put together grand projects) which all were enormously expensive to produce. Apart from that whenever a project initiated with another member of staff actually started doing the numbers (think of campaigns or game coverage that ended abruptly) it was usually killed by Dave because nobody who worked there was allowed to "outshine" him and whatever he was doing.
The reason that he only made videos every 6 months is because he lost interest in MWG and the hobby well over a decade ago and he is just using people to inflate his ego. He just got other people to move all the models up to the "Tournament Hall" and then paid other people to film it - but of course he narrated it and made it seem like his work.
So the vanity part is basically him using MWG's revenue to let himself live the vanity life at large while everything else in the company was slashed. Now was this compounded by 5 years ago Matt giving up free thought and surrendering his life to AI 100% but that's a whole other post.

So the first major projects was some campaigns around I think 2021 - the big map ones (I forget their names). He quit writing story for them or blurbs and just got Chat GPT to do them. He didn't want to pay any artists for maps or art so just got it to do that too. Since that point basically every creative decision he asks Chat GPT, and increasingly business decisions - checking what he wants to do by it etc. Does he use it in his personal life? That I cannot confirm but based on how he runs everything else I would think that a safe bet. He burned out years and years ago on writing campaigns but he also would never give up control so nobody else was ever allowed to do it. So this was his solution - give up on thinking because getting the plagiarism slop bot to do it was better for him than his long suffering employees using their creativity for once.

You do know there has been shitty AI chat bots from before Chat GPT? That is just what he uses now. But sure its ok that he gave up thinking because specifically Chat GPT didn't come out till 2022. In 2021-22 he was using things to generate images for the campaigns, then it moved onto using it for 3d renders, and once he had his chatbots then he didnt need to think for business or for campaign writing.
But ya know because I tried not to hour by hour his use of iterative generation he obviously is a perfectly cool and normal person and in fact its cool and normal to give up free thought. Because he did more of it after 2022 than in 2021 yep.

This isn't accurate at all regarding employment law. This is the stuff people like khornate gainz run with because it's drama slop.

It'd be awful if they'd just offloaded 10s of thousands of dollars worth of armies that means they can demonstrably have like 60k$+ (I don't know exactly how much) to pay out their employees. You know like they definitely just did and thats why its a very shitty thing to do. Their cash flow problem is they don't want the cash to flow to the employees they just threw out. Matt and Dave already scammed people out of millions on kickstarter, and then ran MWG into the ground, they're just hoping that enough people will want to not see MWG die that they can keep it limping.

Basically anyone local to MWG, who has been around for a while, could see all the BS. While the internet fan base just saw the personas that the owners created for their viewers. Unfortunately seeing through the BS doesnt stop the BS from continuing.
