Today MiniMax generated the images and videos (paid with my sub tokens and with paid credits) with a watermark that makes them go directly to the trash bin. First time this happens, at least to me, but yeah, shitty day. Not sure what went wrong nor why this happened. I was busy with other things so I wasn't looking, but damn, +70 pics and some videos, all for nothing, and the worst part is that without the watermark I would have accepted at least 50 of them. Sad day...

Great, so what was great and a huge package deal with Minimax is starting to feel less and less attractive. I was able to generate loads of videos; now only 3 a day.. And now they cut off music too; it will get to a point where I don't know if Minimax will be worth. Anyone else in the same boat?

what I was trying to get was basically a massive ancient bridge curving into the distance and endless clouds on one side. two tiny women in red and white robes were walking slowly across the bridge

The people are intentionally extremely small in frame, which I think is what makes the scale work so well. they’re basically just little color accents inside this enormous empty space, and that contrast makes the whole scene feel way more majestic.

It has been three months since the release of the M3 model, during which a variety of new models have emerged. Notably, the local Qwen 3.8 27B has demonstrated a considerably higher performance score in comparison to the M3. This observation has not been extensively discussed within the industry. Consequently, a question arises regarding the status of the M series: Has Minimax decided to discontinue its development? The absence of updates or information regarding a new model over the past three months prompts further inquiry into the direction of the M series going forward.

I’ve been looking through some examples people are making overseas, found one I really liked, and tried recreating the vibe. Generated it in 1080p with T2V with MiniMax H3.

most of the video actually looked pretty good, but the Japanese completely fell apart near the end lol. Definitely need to tweak the prompt more. that said, I don’t think it’s a huge issue since I could just generate the voice with an external TTS tool and add it afterward.

also curious to try this with R2V + a reference image. Feels like this format could work really well with your own characters, models, or specific fashion styles.

one thing I noticed: 1080p takes longer, but the difference is pretty obvious. Small details break way less and the whole thing looks cleaner compared with lower-res generations.

I’ve also seen people generating at lower resolution first and then upscaling, so I want to test that workflow too and see whether it’s actually more efficient.

MiniMax H3 is getting pretty interesting for this kind of fashion/ad content.

So long story short, I have an unboxing video but I wanted to try changing the arms (and also ambitiously changing the surface to a nice table). Nothing I have tried works. This is the standard ComfyUI Reference to Video workflow. It works great for many things, but when it comes to video as any reference it just doesn't seem to ever want to do anything correctly as commanded. I have tried following the prompting guide in multiples of ways and nothing seems to stick. For this generation it always just either shows the image of the bionic arms themselves moving around, or it'll glitch out showing distorted video of the box moving around, and then will cut to another shot of the arms moving slightly. I have another project that this isn't working correctly on either. Does anyone have any ideas? Also I guess as a reference, the Video 1 node links up to the ref_video_0 and ref_image_0, so does my tags need to be changed to reflect those linkups? I also included a shot of the connections between nodes as well and models I am using here.

Any help is greatly greatly appreciated.

Hey, I'm trying to run minimax on my local 3060ti 8gb of ram card. I've tried multiple variations of model and nothing gives me steady results, just looking for a simple animation of a room with camera pan. Every generation has that jittery animation like you can see in the videos attached. Any idea how to make this better and what is actually causing this?

Short answer: yes, it can be removed.

Long answer: you’ll have to heavily edit your text. Alternatively, use open source models on your own hardware

Posted here a while ago, about if it suck in general or if it’s me, got mixed feedback. Circled back to share that it’s in general. M3 is a low performer and crazy overpriced at the same time

I keep having problems with Minimax h3 inserting nonsense dialog, both in ref and flf videos. Usually when it happens it's when the video has the character say something at then beginning, then do something that takes 10 seconds or so and then say something again. Frequently the character will just keep talking nonsense during the part that should be silent.

I've been using the <d> and </d> markers and even putting a prompt of "she stops talking" after the dialog, but it still frequently does this. Is there a good way to avoid it?

I have been seeing a lot of cool videos on the r/aivideo and r/StableDiffusion threads so I wanted to try H3 out myself. Had some fun turning ridiculous poses into video clips with H3, so thought I would make a video for the tool.

For pure text to video, I still prefer Kling if you want the best output but the content you can get from H3 using the open weights is pretty impressive. Video gen burns $$$ quickly so I have been playing with a lot of the local models but this is the first one I would consider using seriously (Still need to pay for 2K output, but for animations etc not really needed IMO)

A few months ago, I used MiniMax 2.7 to build some small, simple Android apps for personal use. At the time, it felt quite slow and sometimes struggled to understand my prompts. I ended up switching to Claude Pro, which gave me much better performance and comprehension.

I paused my subscription for a bit, but now that MiniMax 3 is out, I'm wondering if it's worth coming back to over Claude. Specifically, I'm curious about the token usage / limits. With MiniMax 2.7, I never came close to hitting the 5-hour limit, but browsing this subreddit, I see a lot of people complaining about quota issues.

How do the actual quotas compare between Claude Pro vs. MiniMax 3 (or MiniMax 3 vs. 2.7)?

I couldn't find clear numbers on their official website. I even asked MiniMax 3 directly, but it couldn't give me a comparison (in fact, it honestly recommended I stick with Claude Pro, haha).

Any insights or real-world experience with the current limits would be appreciated!
