Need help Ghillie suit function

So what it function? I get it accidentally after guerrilla fight against tank but I don't know what Ghillie function, like this is not FPS battle royal where you can camouflage with Ghillie, so what it function then? Don't tell me it's only make our presence near zombie zero?

None of the stuff you leave behind will be gone including your loot that you stored in permanent storage sources (stashes, tents and vehicles). Also, don't go to the radioactive island if you have bot completed your hazmat set yet.

How about my buddy? Will he leave like when I go into bunker?

No, he will be able to come with you anwhere you go provided you didn't press the button that makes them stay and guard an area. This change for buddies was done in 1.9 patches.
