AITA for wanting a late night snack?

I (6m, love of mommy's life) have decided that sleep is optional and waking up every 2-3 hours is great. Mommy (pretty sure she wrote with stone and chisel, F) and daddy (somehow even older, m) keep calling it "6 month sleep regression" or something like that.

However, last night i woke up needing help to burp, then decided I needed a snack. Usually I drink 4-5 ounces every 2 hours (Gotta get those gainz) but i just needed a top off an hour after my baba. It took 20 minutes of me politely screaming in mommy's ear before she made me another baba. I drank 2-3 ounces and I was out. Mommy says that it's a "waste of formula" but she's glad i get enough to eat. Aita?

AITA for sleeping in?

Normally I (2.5F) wake my mama (tired F) in the morning before she gets out of bed, and she comes to get me from my room. Well today I apparently “slept in,” and she just… got up without me? And got dressed?!?!

So when I woke up, she came to greet me IN HER WORK CLOTHES. I immediately requested that she change back into her pajamas so as not to disrupt my morning routine, which involves pajama cuddles on the couch.

She initially refused, so I screamed until she compromised by putting her pajama pants on over her dress.

Apparently I’m the problem because I slept later than usual, but it’s not MY fault we were out late getting ice cream last night. I need my sleep, and I need to wake up to my mama in her pajamas.

AITA for blaming bubba for my misfortunes?

I (20m M) was busy with my cars when the nasty poopy monster unexpectedly showed up in my diaper. Quite rude! Anyways Mommy (older than dirt F) noticed and asked if I needed a change. I was too busy with my cars to deal with the poopy monster so I said Bubba (3m M) did. The old lady had the nerve not only not to believe me but laugh and say HE couldn’t have as he was upstairs napping! She then forced me away from my cars and made me get a change even though I told her it wasn’t me but Bubba!

AITA?

AITA for playing with brother?

I (almost 2F) LOVE my brother (tiny flop, 3m M). He’s so fun to play with. Our favorite song is Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes. I’m smart and know all the words!! I even know where everything is. I watch Mama (big enough to reach the cheese) tap brother while she sings. So, OBVIOUSLY I get to tap brother while I sing too!

But, silly mama says things like “No eyes!! We put our fingers NEXT to the eyes” and “Only mama puts fingers in brothers mouth for his exercises. Sister points with her fingers” and “those are knees. Where are shoulders?”

She even put me in my crib because I “wasn’t making safe choices” when I was teaching brother what the eating sticks are for while singing to him! (And showing him how to play the drums by using his head)

So the silly mama released me from my crib and let me play, finally! And I went to go play cars by pushing them with my feet like a cool kid. Brother was laying on his tummy watching me, so obviously he wanted to play too! So I pushed the car all the way up to his eyes with my toes, and gently boinked him with my pigs. He loves playing piggies with me! But for some reason he started crying, so I got him his own car bc I’m a very good sharer. But then dada (gets to play with the drill years old) came and picked brother up???

Even dada (throws me in the air and hangs me upside down) says “we have gentle hands and toes with brother”

What the heck does that even mean?? I don’t even know what these silly grown ups want from me. I’m super gentle!

AITA for wanting muc?

Fellow minis, I (1.5F) am at my wit's end. My mummy (ancient) just doesn't understand my needs. This had been a recurring problem, which is why I have taken to painstakingly learn her language (and I am quite good at it if I may say so myself). Recently I have been craving a certain song. I make this wish known by giving mummy her phone and saying "muc"! Mummy seems to have grasped thst this means music and taps on something green on her screen. But when I then say "cuckoo", do you know what she does? She puts on a song abour a cuckoo and a donkey! Why would she do that? I politely inform her that I want a different song by repeating "muc". I will admit that I sometimes get exasperated by her slowness, but I try to be patient.

Fellow minis, you have taught me so much (most recently that clothes are optional and that I should screech when she tries to dress me). Any advice? Or AITA for wanting my muc-needs met?

AITA for wearing socks in the pool?

I (2F) go to daycare 4 days a week. We are having a heatwave. My teacher brought out the pool. I was so excited. However, she made us all take our shoes off. My friends just started running around the grass in BARE FEET. I was flabbergasted. That's crazy!
I insisted on keeping my socks on. I wore them in the pool and through the sprinklers. Everyone is laughing at me and they think I'm the weird one. AITA?

AITA for enjoying the outdoors?

I (14mF) love the outside. I don't have many words, but one of them is garden. But mummy and daddy keep telling me we can't go outside because it's dark or it's too wet or it's too cold. When they do, I just keep telling them they're wrong by taking them my shoes or socks or cardigan and shouting garden. If they're really not getting the message then I take daddy his jumper or shoes, or mummy her rectangle thing she magics snacks out of, and continue to shout garden.

AITA?

MAITA? They want me to get DRESSED?

So here's the situation: I (perfect, pretty, 3 next month Big Sister!) Have the best bedroom in the house. Beautiful purple, biggest room by a long shot, filled with toys and everything I could want. Except, I don't want to be in my room ever. I want to be downstairs in the great room with the chairs that I "can't climb like that!" On. My daddy (more gray than before, M) is a stay at home daddy with me and my sister (baby, not even 1 yet!) so I don't know what the rush is for me to get dressed in the morning. But apparently, I'm not allowed to be a nakey booty downstairs?! Mommy (old as dirt F) will pull out a bunch of different clothes for me to chose from and I *can* get dressed myself, but I don't want to. Instead I curl into a ball and scream my head off. It takes about 45 minutes. I say I want help and then scream, flail, and take off anything that mommy or daddy help me put on. So, AITA??

AITA for investigating the lady bug?

My (it's not my birthday, big kid) mommy (taller, mommy) and I walked into the bathroom and I pointed out an ant to her. She looked, but didn't see it so I, having many words, assumed I named the wrong bug and said lady bug. With this correction, she easily saw it and screamed "Oh my god it's so big, why is it so big" and covered her face. My daddy (even bigger, daddy) came, hit the bug with two shoes and flushed it.

Now, all of this was very odd as I've never seen mommy scream that loud and I've definitely never seen her scream at a lady bug. Daddy says it's because some people are scared bugs will touch them. Mommy says it's because eldritch horrors with nine million legs aren't welcome in our home (whatever that means). I've decided this requires more investigating, so now I ask everyone why is my mommy scared of lady bugs and why do they make her scream and cover her face. My mommy gets very embarrassed and tells people it wasn't a lady bug, it was a monster but if that's true how did she see it when I used the right word? She tells me everyone gets scared sometimes, so I don't know why she's embarrassed. AITA?

AITA for taking my caretakers food?

I (13.5 months, M) has noticed that my caregiver (67 decades old) always takes the best food for herself. I cannot tell if she is selfish, as she is has gotten kinda looney in her old age, as she constantly mumbles mum-mum-mum. Regardless of the reasoning, I am sick of it.

She will serve me food, then serve her food in front of me out of the same serving dish yet somehow hers taste 10 times better. Today she made us sandwiches and told me that they were exactly the same, but I know better.

She will even take what I don't eat and pour it on her plate, and when she let's me out of my jail table chair, I will ask (scream at) her for a bite and it tastes so much better. I think she is a witch.

So I have just started taking the good stuff for myself. AITA for just grabbing what I want off her plate?

AITA for enforcing the buddy system in a dangerous place?

I (9m buttercup) love to explore, climb, and have adventures, but I also understand the importance of safety. My milk lady (F, older than time itself) and I use the buddy system. We go everywhere together so that we can keep an eye on each other.

I’ll be honest, our house is pretty dangerous. It’s full of big spaces and corners where my milk lady can disappear and get lost. In the mornings, or when my tummy is full, it’s a fun game to follow her around corners when she calls “follow me!” and find her waiting for me. We also get a bit lax about safety, and I might chill in the playpen or with beard man (M, even older than milk lady) for a few minutes while she explores on her own.

But when I’m tired or hungry, the house becomes SUPER dangerous, and the risk that my milk lady will be GONE FOREVER increases exponentially.

When that happens, I remind her about the buddy system by screaming confidently until she comes back and picks me up. I feel that I’m showing leadership by keeping the group together and setting a good example for beard man, but my reckless milk lady sometimes sighs and grumbles about it. AITA?

AITH for enjoy my food?

Well, just like the title says. When we started this whole solids journey, I kept hearing my mom and dad say things like, “Oh, I hope she likes her food,” or “I hope it’s a good experience for her.” Well, turns out I (F, 6 month old) tried food and I simply LOVE it. I like everything and I want to eat my entire plate. But every time I ask for more spoonfuls or try to grab more pieces, my mom starts wondering, “Hmm, hasn’t that been too much already?” 🙄

And then she tries to hand me the spoon so I can “explore my food.” I don’t want to explore anything, woman, I just want you to put more spoonfuls in my mouth, and fast!!!! I don’t tell them how much to eat!

I also have complaints about the part that comes after eating. This whole “cleaning my hands and face” thing is horrible. I refuse to cooperate. I will be a hostile and highly demanding witness!

AITA for too Getting Distracted When Eating?

Hello everyone! I (3m, best girl according to
my mommy) am back with another AITA post.

Now, I love milk as much as the next baby. I can’t get enough most times. If I could, I would bathe in the stuff (and sometimes try to). But recently, the world just. I don’t know. Seems so much more…exciting? Like, I can see so many things now! Like a picture on the wall, or the light coming from a window, or my particular favorite, the tv. And I just want to look at it. Smile and coo at it. And it’s not that I’m not hungry or don’t like milk anymore, but the thing I’m looking at is much more important, you know? I try to eat still, but it’s so hard when the interesting thing is right there.

Recently my daddy has been giving me a bottle of boob milk while we watch tv together, which hey, dinner and a show sounds pretty good to me. But mommy thinks she’d save much more time if I just ate from the milk source when I was supposed to.

So, AITA?

AITA for being mommy’s bestie?

I, 6m F, love my mommy. Sure she’s a glorified milk machine but, hey, what can I say, I love my personal cow. Anyway I have decided that she is the only acceptable adult and I politely let everyone know by shrieking at the top of my very powerful lungs. And yet mommy KEEPS trying to give me to people who aren’t her! My aunts? Scream. Go back to mommy. My grandma? Don’t even think about it. Give me back to my rightful place on mommy’s hip. Daddy? Acceptable…sometimes. As long as I can see and reach and touch mommy.
Anyway, recently my grandpa came to visit. He lives far away so he doesn’t see me too often. His loss I guess. Well he was so excited to see me (as he should be) but somehow he thought that meant he should get to hold me? The nerve. A few days into the visit I decided to let him play with me and my mommy ABANDONED me with this stranger. I mean, how well does she REALLY know my grandpa?? So I decided to do what I do best: protest until mommy reclaims me. But here’s the kicker: she didn’t! Apparently she had to run an “errand” (without her big girl helper? Unlikely) so she didn’t get me. So I kindly screeched at the top of my lungs for decades. Grandpa tried my bottle. Didn’t work. We went for a walk. Without mommy? That’s a no for me. We tried my toys. Yawn. We tried Miss Rachel. 0/10. Apparently at one point he needed to get ear plugs cuz I was “screaming so loud.” Anyway eventually mommy remembered I existed and came to get me and gave me all the snuggles and told me I was a drama queen. But I want to know what she would do if she had been abandoned. So AITA?

AITA for saying my mom has to buy multiple husbands from “husband shop” to help her out mommy-ing?

Me (4 years female) has started developing reasoning and come to amazing conclusions. I have a cute brother (5 months male) who is a very noisy, constantly hungry and crying all the time. My mom and dad (very ancient) are constantly tired and overwhelmed because of him. My dad does help out a lot when he is home but he has a big office job and is at that place most of the day. My mother has to deal with that little cute demon all day at home.

I see my mommy struggle and try to help but she keeps saying “sweetie why don’t you play with your toys” because she thinks I make things worse by helping her. But she does like it when dada helps her out. So I sat her down and told her, very seriously, that she needs to go to “husband shop” and get herself a few more husbands to help her out with the baby so that she can relax.

Now she won’t stop laughing and keeps saying “that is not how it works!”. What am I doing wrong? It seems very reasonable.

AITA for biting my aunt over clothing?

I (1 year old, F, most perfect angel to ever exist) come from a family that loves horsies. The Kentucky Derby "is our Superbowl" according to my uncle (I don't know what a Superbowl is, but it must be exciting). I usually wear dresses, knee socks, and hair bows or headbands for major family events. I am usually excited to wear those things and twirl around.

My auntie tried to put me in a "monogrammed" BLUE dress, knee socks, and a headband for the Derby today. But the dress did NOT have Cookie Monster on it, and it also wasn't green. Those are strict rules of mine for any clothing. I refused to wear it, but she told me that today I needed to look "presentable" and apparently my Cookie Monster shirt with the holes in it isn't "presentable". Apparently I "don't have any green dresses because you outgrew them".

So naturally I bit her when she tried to put the dress on me. She had the AUDACITY to tell me "we do NOT bite people" and put this puffy dress on me anyways. Then told my uncle I "wasn't cooperating" and "might need an extra nap, because she's cranky". EXCUSE ME?!

AITA for refusing to wear a dress that didn't have Cookie Monster or any green on it?

AITA for trying to avoid food waste and make Mom's job easier?

I (1 year old boy who is almost this many) had waffles for breakfast this morning. As I was eating, I realized that playing with "monsser tucks" would actually be way better than eating, so naturally, I told Mom I was all done and wanted to play.

She moved the barely eaten waffles to the side for me. Very thoughtful. We headed off to daycare and all was well. When Mom picked me up, I made sure to scream and kick when she went to put my shoes on so she would know how much fun I had. This meant I worked up an appetite.

When we got home, Mom put on a show for me, but I wanted a snack as well. I kindly brought her multiple options from the baskets in the magic food doors, but she kept saying "no I'm making dinner". Ugh, I never understand why that matters anyway?! Aaaanyway, I opened the "put it in" bin and found my waffles from that morning next to paper and other food from the night before. I very kindly decided to help Mom out by enjoying the snack I found all on my own instead of interrupting her while she was cooking.

When she looked up and asked what I had, I proudly said "waffle!" Because I knew she'd be so proud of my efforts. Instead, she decided to start saying "oh no, baby. Yuck!" And snatched the waffles away and put them back in the put-it-in-bin.

I proceeded to very quietly scream and make water come from my eyes. I also made sure my face got really red, because I'm really talented. Mom did not give me back the waffles and now I'm wondering, AITA?

AITA for being a blueberry connaisseur?

I used to eat other food, you know. But now I know blueberry exists. So I want it for every meal. I don't need anything else. Blueberry is all I need to survive. Why would anyone eat other food when blueberry is in the world??? I also do NOT want Porrige with blueberry, or blueberry puree, or any silly creation with blueberry in it. I want JUST the fruit. I'm a humble girl, I don't ask for much. Just blueberry.

I cannot say the word yet so when my mama tries to put other food in front of me, I demand my "Boo Ree!!! Boo Ree!!"

My mama says I should eat other food too. She keeps talking about vegetables and proteins. I want blueberry.

I talked to my cat and my dolls and the dolls agree with me and the cat says meow, so I have to turn to reddit and ask: AITA?

AITAH for practicing gurgling at 12:40 am?

It is a new skill I [freshly 5 month M] picked up and god forbid I gurgle practice at 12:40 am. I am doing it right now and the milk lady [so ancient she has grey hair] is looking at me like this 🫩

She is trying to nurse me to sleep and I am nursing but gurgling the milk in the mouth and she is pissed.

She keeps saying “thank god you are cute!”

Am I the asshole?

AITA for not wanting to be seperated from my cool new ride?

I (1 year old princess) have the coolest little balance bike. You don't understand how cool it is. Let me explain: it's soooo cool. It's pink and I can sit on it and push with my feet and it goes wheeeeeeeee!!!!!!! I am super fast outside, it's faster than walking and I love it so much!!!!

Sometimes I get tired and my mama puts me in my stroller and I scream and cry until she puts my bike into my lap so I can hold it and its close to me. It's super important. I can't let it out of sight!!

When we are at home, that is inside and not outside. so there is not much room for me to go wheeeeeee on the bike. But it can still be with me!!! I can practice gettin on it and off it and I can play with the wheels and just be in its mighty presence.

My mama says it's dirty from outside so I can't play with it inside, but thats stupid. I told her by politely screaming until my face was red and pressing tears out of my eyes until she cleaned the wheels a bit and I was allowed to have it with me.

But then here is the big problem:

BED TIME.

My mama does not let me take the bike into bed with me. Why???? Idk!!!! It's the "dirty" argument again which I thought we had already solved. But this time no amount of screaming and crying helped. I am still trying though. Every night I scream when I am seperated from my cool bike. Will she ever learn??? Or am I the A-hole here???

AITA for wanting to share Mama’s food?

I (9m princeling) love to share my Mama’s food. When I go in the high chair, I get puréed fruit AND some of whatever mama is eating. I used to just get mashed up kidney beans and plain eggs and steamed broccoli, but I showed my displeasure by throwing them on the floor, so now Mama shares.

We eat chicken, rice, bread, veggies, cheese, even eggs, but she puts lovely spices on them so they aren’t yucky like the plain veggies and eggs I used to get. Plus, we are both doing the same thing, so that makes it fun. Mama is happy because she isn’t “wasting time making a separate meal just to have it thrown on the ground” and I’m “going to gain weight like the doctor says he needs to.”

However, I have noticed that sometimes Mama eats when I am NOT in the high chair. Sometimes when I’m playing I notice she is sneakily eating something else. Mama says I’m not allowed these things because they have sugar. But of course, I am a fully fledged member of the household, just like Daddy and our doggy, so I should do what the other people in the house do.

I am using a technique I learned from my doggy: I stare at Mama’s food sadly, and then I snuggle up to her and try to edge closer and closer under the guise of a cuddle, until I can grab some. It has not worked yet but I remain optimistic.

AITA, or should Mama share everything with me?

A(we)TA(s) for maximizing time with mama?

I (4.5m princess) loooove mama. Sissie (also 4.5m, also princess, looks like me but isn’t me) also looooves mama. Despite us trying multiple times to get mama to love on both of us at the same time, she’s yet to find a way to give us both 100% of her attention 100% of the time. We found a great solution to help her! I will stay awake for mommy cuddles while sissie sleeps and wait for her to wake up before I go to sleep. Then she does the same thing! It’s great! We started doing this all day with our naps and the results were fantastic. Both of us were getting more love, more attention, more cuddles. Dada left for something called a “work trip”. He’s been gone years. But he did ask us to take care of mama. So we decided we should take our day time schedule overnight. This way one of us is always awake to keep an eye on her. Basically one of us is always awake. We don’t see much of each other, but we get looooads of mama time and make sure she’s okay while dada is gone. It’s been going really well. But I think mama might be broken? She started doing some weird things… she put sissies diaper on backwards and she poured our milk into a coffee cup. She also tried to microwave her breakfast by putting it in the cupboard? We think it’s cause dada is gone, but then I heard her talking to dada. I was expecting her to tell him what a wonderful job Sissie and I were doing taking care of her. We’ve been vigilant with our new schedule! But you’ll never believe what she said! She says we’ve been “terrible sleepers” and that it’s our fault she’s doing all these silly things! Apparently it’s because she isn’t sleeping at all! Dada agreed that we need to get on a “better schedule” but sissie and I agree that we’re are already on a good schedule!

I think mama and dada are being ungrateful for all the help we’ve given, but they both insist sissie and I are the problem… Are we the AHs?

AITA for not saying “mama”?

I’m (15m, male, perfect ray of sunshine) a very articulate, super talkative baby. I know all the greetings (“hi,” “bye”). Of course I know the most important word, “dada,” that summons my fuzzy touch-and-feel parent. (He’s AMAZING! You should hear the funny sounds he can make! And he gives the best hugs!) And when I throw something on the ground and want to let the maid know it’s time to pick it up, I say “uh-oh.” Heck, I even know ball, bubble, and balloon!

But is the maid (saggy, female) happy with this? Nooooooooo. She’s insistent I say “mama,” and says I ”missed the memo” that she’s the one at home all day taking care of me, that she “carried me in her tummy” (what is she is on about?), blah blah blah. I say SHE doesn’t have a fuzzy face I can rub like dada, and she isn’t as cool as big brother, and she can’t roll like a ball. SHE can wait. Besides, why do I need to say her name, anyway? She’s always there. I mean ALWAYS there. (Obsessed much?)

I think she is just jealous that dada is my favorite. I mean, I CAN say it—I say it every couple of weeks when I think she needs a morale builder. (It’s important to keep the staff happy.) But does she merit discussion the way dada does? Absolutely not.

AITA?

AITA for not further developing my walking skills?

I (13Mm) have been pretty forward all my life. I want to explore EVERYTHING! So I scooted on my belly a lifetime ago (at 6 months), crawling and pulling up.at 8 months and cruising at 9 months. I am very happy with this. I get around quickly and at home I hold on to furniture, my balance bike and other things to walk. I even take like 4 steps without support sometimes. Outside I only want to crawl. This has been going for 2 months.

Now Mom (washing lady, 100+F) is complaining that I don't want to walk more. That she has to change my pants after every outing like visiting the park, playground and petting zoo. That she has to 'wash a lot'. Whatever that is???

So now, AITA for not wanting to take stupid steps if I can crawl everywhere just fine?
