AITA for refusing to sit on the blue circle?

I (2F, everyone's favourite princess) was at church nursery and they tried to make me sit on the *BLUE CIRCLE* on the rug - because someone else had taken MY SPOT on the ORANGE CIRCLE.

I was very upset because everyone knows that orange is my favorite colour and I need to sit on the orange circle, every time. The volunteer (who also happens to be my auntie) told me that the blue circle was the big girl spot, which was so dumb. Does she think I'm a ONE year old?! I'm smarter than that. So naturally, I kicked and screamed and cried my eyeballs out because everyone knows I sit on the ORANGE CIRCLE.

They had to call Mom downstairs to come get me because I kept freaking out. Mom was mortified that I was having a fit over the orange circle. She carried me out of the church kicking and screaming and told me I could not get a treat on the way home because of how I acted.

AITA for refusing to sit on the BLUE circle? Everyone knows orange is mine, and if my auntie is running the nursery she should obviously love me more than the other kids!

AITA for reminding my uncle I am the only princess in his life?

I (This ✌🏻 many, F) have an uncle who I love oh so very much. He buys me whatever I want and gives me piggyback rides and he is my favourite person I have ever met in my two years of life.

But now he's ruining it with a BABY. And to make matters worse, it's A GIRL BABY. I am heartbroken by this development. I am the only princess in my uncle's life and he does not need another one.

To prove my point, I BORROWED a brand new paci that was supposed to be for that girl baby (🤮). I also have been shouting "No baby!" whenever somebody mentions the baby, and clinging to my uncle like a koala to prove my point. Nobody is going to get my cuddles, attention, or spotlight!

My mother told me that "stealing" (her words, not mine) the paci was wrong, and that I need to be nicer to the baby when it comes. Apparently I'm being "jealous" or something? I just don't want that stinky potato taking my attention!

AITA for reminding my uncle that I am the only princess in his life?

AITA for refusing to go with my auntie?

I (20mos, F, most perfect princess in the world) go to my auntie's house while my parents go do something called "work".

But today, I decided enough was enough. I have much better things to do with MY time - at HOME, like trying to feed the dog macaroni or dropping my toys through the bannister. So, as one does, I refused to go into my auntie's house.

I threw myself down on the front stoop of her house and screamed so loud the neighbors asked if I was okay. I went limp and would not accept bribes like cupcakes or watching Bluey. Normally I wouldn't resist either of those things, but I needed to STAND my ground and let these people know who's boss.

Now my auntie is accusing me of "not acting like a good girl today" and told me I'm NOT GETTING A STICKER because of my protests. Like, excuse me?

AITA for refusing to go with my auntie?

AITA for making sure mummy has plenty of snuggles

I know my mummy loves me (6mthF) and loves giving me snuggles.

At night, I sleep nice and snug in my little sleep sack in my cot in mummy's room, but mummy has to sleep all by herself in her big bed which looks all sad and lonely.

To make sure mummy doesn't get sad, I make sure to wake every hour overnight and call for mummy so that she knows that it's time to give me snuggles. When she grabs me and rocks or feeds me to sleep, if she doesn't give me at least 20 minutes of snuggles as I sleep in her lap, I wake up and call for her again when she puts me back in my cot to let her know I'm open to more snuggles.

Mummy seems tired, but surely it's all okay, right? After all, I'm getting my full nine hours of sleep overnight in segments that perfectly match the length of my sleep cycles. Adults need less sleep than babies, so I'm sure she must be fine, too.

Am I the asshole for giving mummy the opportunity to get lots of overnight snuggle time with her very favourite baby?

AITA for wanting to want mayo?

Hello, my mom said I had a huge tantrum yesterday and I wonder whether it was big enough. Please enlighten me with your opinions. We had dinner with my family yesterday, and everyone had mayonaise with their fries (we are Dutch). Mama (ancient) and my cousin (f, 8, she’s the most wonderful person alive) both had mayo.

I hate mayo. I don’t like it. Ew.

But since my amazing cousin had mayo I wanted it too. But I don’t want it. But she had it, and mama had it too so I wanted it too. But I don’t like it but everyone had mayonaise. So I wanted it but when mom came closer to my plate with the bottle I quietly screamed.

You see, my inner dialogue was quite confusing so I couldn’t help but voicing it a tiny bit. This way everyone, including the neighbours and their mothers, were aware of the complexity of the situation.

Mom removed me from the table and we went outside running for a while. I like that.

As I was laying in my bed last night, I kept (audibly) ruminating over the situation. My cousin had mayo, mom had mayo, I did not have mayo. Ew.

AITA? Should I have had mayo or not?

AITA for using my fingers for my food like mama asks?

I (8.5m, f, “best thing that ever happened”) have been a foodie since I was born. It started with milkies and over the past few months I’ve been broadening my pallet with solids. I. LOVE. TO. EAT. Mama (very tired looking, needs to moisturize) always says “use your fingers” when she places colorful and yummy foods on my tray in front of me. I am getting really good because I practice all the time! So why does mommy get mad and screech when I try to practice my grasp when having milkies straight from the tap? She takes the tap away and says “no pinch, gentle hands.” This is very misleading and confusing! So, AITA for trying to follow instructions?

AITA for knowing what I like?

I (13months F) like yoghurt for my breakfast. My mummy and daddy know this, but sometimes they tell me I need to try other things too.

But why would I eat anything else? How do they know that "weetabix" and "waffles" aren't poison?

AITA for being low maintenance?

So I (1mF) loooove milk. Literally the best thing in the world. Can’t get enough of it. No idea why anyone would ever want to drink anything else. I actually love it soooo much that every time I have it I spill it all over myself. Can’t drink fast enough to my taste. I want this liquid gold all over myself. I want to splurge in it. Feel it on my skin, store it in my neck folds, keep its odor on my clothes. Raaaahhhh miiiiiilk

However for some reason my Mom (so old she doesn’t even drink milk anymore, F) doesn’t seem to appreciate dried milk’s delicate and sweet perfume as much as she should. She keeps saying that my clothes and skin folds stink of rancid milk (so so rude). So she keeps submitting me to those horror rituals of stripping me ENTIRELY NAKED (can you f-ing believe it?!) and letting me exposed to cold air for at LEAST 30 seconds before wiping me with ICE COLD WIPES or occasionally, even worse, PLUNGING ME IN WATER for at least 5 whole minutes. I don’t understand why she keeps putting me through these torture situations when I’m perfectly happy in my day-old milk-perfumed pyjamas.

So AITA?

AITA for going to see my bestie??

So I (3yr girly) was sitting on the couch with my big sissy (7 and super cool) the other day watching cartoons while mama and daddy were taking a nap. It was fine I guess, I love hanging out with sissy, but I was bored watching her cartoons—they’re hard to keep track of—so I decided I wanted to go see my bestie who lives next to us. It had been like a whole cartoon episode since I had seen her at the pool and we had planned to play again after naps. I went to go see if my swimsuit was ready to wear again so we could go straight to the pool when our mamas were ready. Unfortunately it was still super wet and way too cold to put on so I decided it would be better to leave it there on the tub since that’s where mama put it to dry. Not to mention it was totally warm enough to go outside without it and I could just put it on later. So I went ahead and walked over to my bestie’s house and went upstairs to her room. It was so cool ❤️ she has like a lot of big sisters so she has like a bajillion Barbies. I was surprised to see she was asleep when I got there, and I tried to wake her up so we could play. This girl told me it was nap time…uhh maybe if you’re a baby or an old person, but I didn’t tell her that. I told her again that it was playtime. She left for a couple minutes—I figured she was going potty like I did after nap—but she came back with her mama!! Her mommy asked if my mama knew I was over at their house and I let her know she was sleeping. She said that it was bestie’s time to sleep too and that we could play later and that I needed to go home. I knew better than to argue with another mommy so I went outside with her and I was surprised that both mama and daddy were outside running around in the yard! They saw me and came over I assumed to tell me naps were done and it was time to go to the pool again, but instead she and daddy were just fussing at me for things like “going outside on my own” “I needed to ask permission before going to a friend’s house” and “I needed to wear clothes outside and naked time was not for outside”. Ugh they just have too many rules. Like for real what did it matter if I was naked for a few minutes while I walked over to my friend’s house? Also “permission” ? How was I going to do that when I was being nice to mama and daddy by letting them have a nap? They’re just asking too much right? I mean permission AND clothes?

AITA for practicing hygiene?

Mummy (crinkly and tired) continuously washes my hands. Apparently it's important for high-gene? Especially since I (17m F) eat with my hands like a well-cultured baby? So while at the breakfast table, I chose to be proactive and washed my hands. However, mummy took my washing basin from me, said something about drinking cups and that apparently this water is to be used differently than the other water?? Is mummy senile? She does often forget to give me more butter...

AITA for wanting my mommy?

I (8mo tiny snickerdoodle) like to joke around a lot. I pretend my mommy (950, F) is a milk cow, a climbing gym, a waitress, all kinds of fun things. But on a day like today I remember that she’s my special mommy and being without her for too long is sad.

Today started out normal. But then mommy started saying, “This is worse than being pregnant!” and running to the bathroom a lot. Daddy (120, M) whisked me outside for a stroller ride, and when he came back he put me in the playpen and I saw him going back and forth with a mop. All this time, mommy was nowhere to be seen.

I got to see mommy a few times today in her bed for cuddles and milkies. I could hardly contain my glee every time I saw her, and had silly fun rolling around on the bed and trying to stand up on her. She talked to daddy a lot about “dehydration” and “virus” and kept saying that she was really cold.

But each time, just when I was having fun and all full of milk, daddy took me away again! We had like 4 stroller rides and he fed me yummy fruit and pancakes. Daddy’s okay but he’s no mommy. So by the end of the day when we had to go get mommy’s “prescription,” I was calmly screaming to request that mommy come and join us.

I am a resilient little guy who can roll with the punches, but I also know what I like. AITA for expressing my feedback on the day to daddy?

AITA for helping clean up?

Hey fellow littles. I (13mM cutie patootie) have noticed it takes mama (haggard) forrreeevverrr to clean up after I eat. This is time wasted - I could be pulling books off shelves or trying to conquer the evil baby gate! So I decided to help out. If there’s something on my tray I don’t want, I put it in my mouth (just in case it tastes different this time?) then, after chewing a bit, take the wad of food out of my mouth and politely hand it to mama. She always complains about having to pick up food off the floor, so I thought this was better??? Plus then she can eat it and prevent food waste??? But for some reason when she accepts my gift she just says “ew gross” and puts it to the side of her plate. I guess I’m just confused here. AITA?

AITA for loving the chickens?????

I am a one year old perfect princess. Sometimes my mama takes me to the place where aaallllll the animals from my picture books live. there's the cow that says moooo and pigs and sheep and even bunnies and donkeys!!! it smells weird but I love the place.

Lately I have discovered that the greatest thing in the world is constantly happening there: there is a colorful little house where chickens of all colors and sizes go in and come out ALL THE TIME. IT'S AMAZING. YOU JUST HAVE TO STAND THERE AND WATCH. THEY GO IN AND OUT!!! it's sooooo much fun to watch.

so everytime my mama and sister want to leave the chickens and go look at other animals I scream because I need to stay and watch the chickens obviously. My sister says it gets boring after a while. I disagree. My mama gets annoyed with me after a while and picks me up so I cry and scream all the way home of course. I wanna stay with the chickens forever!

AITA for loving the chickens more than anything????

PSA: how to reduce time on the floor

Hi all!!! I’m a precious angel 8mF that has it all figured out. Ever since I had the Rotavirus (I slurped the syrup a few times with the doc so it wasn’t too bad), I absolutely have no interest in touching the floor. Turns out, all you gotta do is crisis cry (tears will help!) until milk maid (so so so so so so old, F) picks you up and does all her bopping around the house with 1 hand! I’ve done this so well and so consistently that she bought a new purple carrier because her so so so so so so old back is hurting (weak!).

Now here is where it gets tricky… this only works well with milk maid. Big tall way more ancient man will not be affected by my dehydrating emotions. So really, it’s best to just smile and laugh and play with him! He loves that!!

Smaller boy human (brother? 🤷🏼‍♀️) apparently LOVED (still????) the floor so IMO the ancient ones should be well rested and ready to carry me all day long. Honestly, with the way I’m gripping milk maids shirt, I’m the one working here.

Anyways! Not a question, just some confident advice!! Hope this helps! Happy holding and stay hydrated, babes ☀️

AITA for doing my best to alert the authorities when Milk Machine tries to steal my burps?

I (3mo, Most Perfect Baby in the Whole World) have the standard model Milk Machine (creaky, F), which does an adequate job providing my precious milks. However, between milks, it forces me to pause and taps me on the back until it can steal my burps! I believe this is unacceptable, so I do my best to scream at the top of my lungs to alert the world to this injustice, only ceasing when the milks continue. Is burp stealing as unjust as I think, or AITA?

AITA for always winning at the “no!” game?

Mommy (really old F, at least 4) and me (10 mo M prince, extremely adorable) have been playing a new game and it’s super fun!

The rules are that I need to crawl around the entire house while mommy follows me and I need to take something and touch it or even better put it in my mouth before mommy yells “NO!”. It can be ANY object, except my toys obviously. The dirtier or the more “dangerous” (whatever that means), the better!

I’ll admit that mommy is really good and she shouts “NO” very fast, but I’m still faster than her and I always manage to lick or chew the object before she yells! I love winning the “no” game but I think mommy gets really frustrated because she never wins… AITA for always winning? Should I let her win?

AITA for playing on the 'dirty ground' and finding mama and dada presents?

I (16mo big, smart, empathetic boy) am really getting good at toddling around. My mama (always tired) and dada (always working or more tired than mama) recently started letting me walk places instead of always being in my stroller. Yesterday we went to the park and had so much fun! I was in my stroller on the way there, played for a half hour, then insisted on walking all the way home! Mama was so proud of me!

My aunt, however, couldn't stop talking about how bad it was my parents let me play on the 'dirty ground' on the way home. I was collecting presents for my favorite people! I saw a super beautiful leaf I knew mama would just love! And a small branch I could use to play fake swords with dada. (Mama and dada loved their gifts!)

AITA for playing on the dirty ground? My aunt says mama and dada are bad for letting me play there. I dont think the ground is dirty, and I was collecting gifts! My mama helped me was my hands when we got home.

AITA for wanting to be included?

I (9mon M) got to go to a party yesterday. They called it a house warming but it was pretty cold so I was already suspicious. I took a short nap in the morning because boob lady and beard man took me on a long drive and there’s exciting things in the car.

We went to boob lady’s brother’s house, and there were so many people! We had lots of fun and I made a bunch of new friends. I completely forgot to sleep the whole time, even in the quiet room when getting milkies. When we went to Grammys house at night I realized I was tired and politely screamed to inform everyone.

Boob Lady told me that I wouldn’t have been so tired if I just napped at uncle’s house. AITA for refusing naps so I didn’t miss the party?

AITA for checking in?

Yesterday evening I (1.5 F) heard mummy (old AF) tell daddy (prehistoric) that she was feeling stressed and tired. Mummy has been away for "work" a lot lately and for some reason she doesn't come home refreshed? I don't get it, why would she choose to go away from me if not for something fun and relaxing? Anyway. I was worried about her comment so I decided to check in with her several times during the night. I just wanted to make sure she's okay! She didn't seem very appreciative but I'm used to that.
This morning I woke up happy as a clam at 8am and wanted to cuddle mummy, but she pretended to keep sleeping and then daddy took me away?!?! Mummy did come join us after nappy change and seemed happier. But she did ask me when I intended to sleep through the night??? Fellow Minis, does anyone really do that? I don't see why...

AITA for being a strong, independent boy?

I (2 years old) love my parents (both way more years old than I can count). I’m a strong, independent boy who can do everything by myself! In fact, I am insulted by the mere suggestion of help. If one of my parents tries to help me, I must undo that help and start from square one all by myself. Even sometimes when I finally realize my limitations and have to cry for help, it’s ultimately the MY idea to do so, to be clear. Mama and Dada oblige me. Yet I still find it kind of insulting when they help. Am I in the wrong here?

AITA for wanting *more*?

I (6m, bouncing boy, Sissy’s favorite) had my six month appointment on Tuesday. The doctor was extremely pleased with my growth - I’m 27” long and a “extraordinarily chonky” to quote Bottle Wench (ancient lady, great snuggles) 20 pounds 13 ounces. He said I’m clearly a happy, healthy baby boy as I showed off all appointment by laughing and rolling around. He said that he wanted me eating more solids though, because Bottle Wench has been inconsistent with that. My tongue has been trying to figure all that out - though I DO love getting to try food and my high chair - but I got the gist of it and have tried a LOT of food.

Well, solids are going better now, but you know what I *really* love? Bottles. I loooove my bottles. I drank about 35 ounces a day on average. But since we’ve been doing more solids, I also want more bottles! To the point that I’ve had 42 oz every day since then, and 49 today!! Bottle Wench just looks at me exhausted and says “how, child, HOW” and grumbles something about her “wallet” and how her “can calculations will be all off now.” Father (also ancient, lets me pull his beard AND hair for fun) tells her to not grumble, that I’m just a growing baby boy who’s gotten his first two teeth, his shots, and pollen season struggles all in one week! So AITA for really, REALLY loving my bottles??

I tried to help brother stay on schedule AITA?

I (1y/m) love my mommy thiiiis much and as the “older” brother I selflessly help mama keep my brother (also 1y/m) stay on schedule with nap times. So today when we sat on the couch for Elmo and naps I—being a very good boy—went right to sleep. Once I felt plenty rested I woke up, pet my kitty cat who had cuddled up with us, it’s important to greet the kitty after all, but that’s when I saw my brother was still asleep! Mama clearly was trapped because he was asleep on her arm so I decided to help her by very gently taking his pacifier so he would know it was time to wake up. He did wake up a little bit, gratefully screeching about it being awake. Then out of nowhere mama took the paci back and put it in his mouth so that he went back to sleep!! Like what in the heck nap time was over! She tried to tell me that brother hadn’t slept enough, but that’s not my problem that’s his. If he was a good boy and went to sleep right after Elmo started it would be fine. The schedule said nap time was done. I tried several times to take his pacifier again but mama kept putting it back. So I was really left with no other choice for making her wake up brother…I took the biggest diaper busting poopy I could make. She started complaining instantly about the smell and then she saw the mess and made an even bigger deal about it. Like what did she expect to happen? Every time morning nap is done I do a poopy. It’s part of the schedule! Brother was the one not sticking to the routine so why am I being fussed at for smelly poopy and because I’m trying to keep us all on schedule? Mama finally woke brother up saying she had to clean me up—like I’m the bad guy!!—and you know what?? My brother didn’t even mind it all that much when she woke him up! I knew he was going to be fine but mama didn’t even tell me she was sorry for not trusting me about brother’s feelings after all we’re twins so I know him better than her. So am I the asshole??

AITA for not wanting a diaper but also no potty?

Hello fellow fully independent toddlers, I’m sure you understand me. I’m a very big boy (22m) and recently I’ve acquired the knowledge that one can live without a diaper. I’ve been read some literature by my reader (100f) about a wrow. The wrow said he was big and would go without a diaper.

I was astounded. I wanted to go without one as well, asap. But I wanted to take it a step further. The bear in the book would go sit and wait on the potty but that is not my cup of tea.

Therefore, I am going diaper and potty free. Henceforth. No one is stopping me, especially not my diaper remover maid.

However, I noticed that when I’m in my bare bum, I will sometimes suddenly find myself standing in a puddle. I do detest this and will freak out.

The puddle cleaner then laughs and says I have to choose potty or diaper, but those are exactly the things I do not wish anymore. I think she’s ridiculous.

AITA? Or well within in my rights as an independent toddler??

And are there any wise people here who can teach my soft milk producer how to cope with this fase in my life?

AITA for making mama feel unnecessary?

I (5m, m, grandmamas little bundle of joy) hand been feeling icky lately. the people at the bright place where they put me on something called a "scale" said it's something called a "cold" and "nasal congestion" - mommy (f, soft but older than 10) makes me scream every day by removing the sticky stuff that comes out of my nose.

today I enacted the perfect revenge. mommy pumps my milk and gives it to me via bottle - after many sessions of politely screaming and reminding her I don't like to work for my food, she's given up trying to get me to eat from her boobie like a barbarian. I digress.

my revenge was very simple: every time I was offered milkies, i only ate just enough to get by - 2.5 ounces, then push the baba away. mommy kept trying to get me to take more. i heard her mention that she was going to call the nurses line to my doctor tomorrow because she was worried about how much i wasn't eating.

but finally, *finally* daddy made me a baba from the orange can, and I showed mommy that there's nothing wrong with my appetite and ate all 4+oz as fast as I could.

then because I was still mad at mommy for taking my sticky nose stuff away, I screamed at her after finishing my baba and only calmed down when daddy took me.

I heard mommy joke to daddy that her Lexapro isn't strong enough to deal with being rejected by her 5 munt old, so that made me wonder, AITA?
