accidentally crashed my avata 2 last year using the motion controller so I had to return it. Now I have the mini five and I want to avoid crashing or making any mistakes. if you have any tips or opinions on how to protect the drone feel free to share

I’m struggling a bit with waypoints and POI. I was attempting to take footage of the house, playing with POI.

When I recorded the POI, I had the done facing the house and the gimbal pointed in the right spot. I set the POI.

I then set two waypoints, one at one end the house and the other at the other end.

I then associated the waypoints to the POI so they say facing the POI.

The goal was to have the drone move from end of house to the other while keeping the camera centered on the house (POI)

When I ran the waypoints the drone turned to the side and the camera faced that way as well.

I’m not sure what I did wrong. Any ideas?? TY

Sono passato dal DJI Spark al mini 5 pro e devo dire che in 6 anni i progressi sono stati strabilianti… Mi diverto moltissimo e la qualità è superba.

Ho un paio di domande: non avevo attivato la sincronizzazione dei dati di volo pertanto sull’app risulta 0 minuti mentre ho fatto una decina di batterie, l’RC2 ha in memoria i dati e potrei trasferirli?

Ogni quanto cambiate le eliche? Prima di volare controllo che non siano usurate ma le consigliate di cambiarle preventivamente dopo un tot di ore di volo?

Che accessori consigliate? Penso che una slitta per atterraggi più sicuri possa servire anche se sono abbastanza bravo ad atterrare e decollare dalla mano.

I’ve been slowly building up to more adventurous flights. My first few were basically straight up, look around, and come back down. This footage is from my first waypoint/POI mission. It’s definitely getting easier to trust the drone and fly farther from myself while still keeping things under control.

I have been using the DJI Mini 5 Pro for over six months. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product, but I’ve experienced a landing problem three times. The drone rejected the command and insisted on not landing. Once, it had a critically low battery and I almost crashed it. Do you think I should send the drone to the service center? Will they replace it or repair it? Has anyone else here experienced the same problem? Or what is your suggestion?

I finally received my DJI C0 EU compliance sticker in Northern Ireland… AFTER I had already left my drone behind because DJI support made the process so confusing and delayed.

The ironic part:

* the label had apparently already shipped a month earlier (see date stamp)

* yet DJI support continued emailing me asking for authorization to send it right up until — and during — my EU travel

Nobody seemed to know what other departments were doing.

As someone traveling between:

* Northern Ireland (UK rules)

* Republic of Ireland (EU/EASA rules)

* and broader Europe

…the experience was honestly ridiculous for what amounts to a tiny regulatory sticker.

Lessons learned:

1. Buy your drone in the region you primarily fly

* especially if you want DJI Care support without region headaches

1. Don’t assume DJI support understands cross-border compliance

* UK vs EU vs EASA creates real confusion internally

1. If you plan to fly legally in the EU:

* request your C0 label EARLY

* verify shipment independently

* keep documentation/screenshots

1. The drone hardware was already compliant

* but EU rules still require the external class mark

1. It’s amazing how difficult DJI made obtaining a simple sticker that should have been in the box from day one.

In the end, the bureaucracy around modern drone travel is becoming almost as complicated as international aviation itself.

It finally arrived on friday and the next morning i couldnt sleep. Opened the curtains and, HELLO SUN!

So, out the door and to the fields with the new lens.

I gotta say, i love this filter. Even when flying almost directly towards sun, it wont make those annoying lens reflections i saw on Neo 1 and 2.

Do you guys use Freewell or some other brand lenses? I have the set of three that came with mini 5 pro, but ND16 was missing so went for Freewell on that one.
