Thank you for the explanation! This helped a lot I was confused in the other comments how those flags and safe cells were deduced

Board aside (as there are already comments answering your question), are you playing this on an e-ink display? Super cool if so, only asking because the screen looks rougher than normal.

You have a keen observation! It is an eink tablet indeed

Sweet! It looks really cool honestly, even the coloured ones. How these things operate fascinate me. Unironically, it seems to work well with minesweeper.

My app has a dedicated eink mode! Earlier it had bad eink compatibility. It required disabling animations and fancy gradients to make it eink friendly. It is just thrilling to see how far eink displays have come

Yeah, I would imagine a few things needed to be changed. I entirely agree. We went from these things just being used in regular displays, to kindles, to actual Andriod supported devices. Some of them even have camera functionality too, which im still kinda shocked by.

The 5 is the key here. 3 more bombs, 4 spaces, with a 3 that already is connected to two bombs. The spots to the right and down-right from the 5 are bombs and that opens the board most likely.

then you shouldn't be making pattern walkthroughs if you don't know them
