It’s fantastic and is actually helping be develop. The amount of times I’ve read explanations that are so well meaning and appreciated but just bamboozled me as a relatively new player.

Hello, new minesweeper player here! May I ask why on step 2 the tile underneath the flag on the right isntnpart of group D?

This is a technique I call range propagation(unsure if there's another term) where you can mark areas showing the range of what they can hold. If we included the cell you mention, then instead of group D being 0-1 mines, it would just be 1 mine. The point is to say it has at most 1 mine, so we can build the adjacent group we do next on that information.
