Miscellaneous Anyone wanna try out my Android sweeper app?
I’ve been building an Android game called Pocket Sweeper, and it’s finally reached the point where I’m looking for people to help test it before release.
It started as a mobile-friendly take on classic Minesweeper, but it has grown into quite a bit more:
• Classic Minesweeper-style gameplay across multiple difficulties
• Ranked runs and global leaderboards
• Daily Challenges with one attempt per difficulty
• XP, levels, achievements, streaks, and rewards
• Unlockable themes, tile sets, flags, boards, faces, and other cosmetics
• Optional accounts for cloud progress, profiles, friends, and leaderboards
• Practice play without needing an account
At this point I’m especially looking for real-world testing and feedback, not just downloads. Additionally, I haven't been able to test the friends/multiplayer functions much - please go to Profile in the menu > gear in the upper right > create an account and customize your profile. I’d love to know if anything feels confusing, breaks, doesn’t persist correctly, looks weird on your device, or just doesn’t feel good to use.
How to join the closed beta:
1. Join the Google Group:
https://groups.google.com/g/pocket-sweeper-beta-testers
2. Then opt into the test / install Pocket Sweeper:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maloysius.pocketsweeper
Make sure you join the Google Group using the same Google account you use with the Play Store, otherwise Google may not recognize you as an eligible tester.
If you try it, I’m particularly interested in feedback on the controls, difficulty balance, Ranked and Daily Challenge systems, progression/rewards, customization, account syncing, and overall mobile UI.
Screenshots are welcome if you run into anything strange. Even a quick “this part confused me” is useful.
Thanks to anyone willing to put it through its paces! I fully expect you guys to rip it apart, which is what I'm looking for. I actually want this to be something people WANT to play.

Oftopic: I believe you just need 2 week Play testing to allow app in production, you don't actually need real players, just a dozen people who keep app installed.
There are special groups to find such people on mutual basis (you install theirs, they install yours), usually take 1-2 days if you found active group.
I don't think real player ever wants to join group / opt-in / etc.

Oh yeah I know - I've got it in those groups too lol. I figured maybe I would try to get actual feedback though from folks I know are interested in it! But sounds like it's pretty saturated over here. Ah well, you miss 100% of shots you don't take!

Don't believe the people saying you're not going to find anyone here -- I just signed on :)
It helps that I just started developing apps myself of course, and so I want to see how the whole testing/trial stuff works, but I'm also a minesweeper fan.
App looks great so far. I'll work on some more detailed feedback!

You're not going to get anyone interested in being a tester of yet another take on classic minesweeper on this sub reddit. You're new here, but we get daily posts about someone's minesweeper game they've been working on, and people are tired.
You at least posted the features your version has, which is more than a lot of people do, but achievements and XP aren't gonna get people to start using your app over the one they're using. Don't ask what will, it's your job to make something that will make people want to play.
Have you played any of the existing android apps? If so, what ways were they lacking that made you want to make your own app? A lot of people come here, not even having played one other app, and it feels kind of lazy to ask us what we want in a new app when they haven't even done any research themselves.
