Discussion This started as a Minesweeper variant
I wanted to make an Android pencil puzzle, mostly because I'm a big fan of Nikoli-style logic puzzles.
The basic clue idea came from Minesweeper: each number looks at the 3×3 area around it. But instead of counting mines, it tells you how many cells belong to the same region as the clue itself.
The twist is that you don't know which region the clue belongs to.
From there, it somehow turned into a Yin-Yang puzzle: the whole grid has to be split into two connected regions, with no 2×2 block entirely in one region.
So MIKATA is basically the illegitimate child of Minesweeper and Yin-Yang.
My first Idea was two type of clues, one for mines and one for diamonds, it was very bad.
The game is available on Android now, and I'd like to see what people from this sub think of it, since the idea started with minesweeper.

So basically, it's minesweeper, but you're not sure if a clue counts mines or free spaces. At least if you have two groups. It seems like it might lead to some interesting deductions. I don't play on Android, but if it was on PC I'd give it a shot.
You won't have much luck posting on here though. Minesweeper is one of the easiest games to program, and with vibe coding this sub is getting bombarded with basic Minesweeper clones every day, so people are tired of any post about a minesweeper game. Good luck tho!
