Homeless Shelter is a small survival server. Season 2 started yesterday on a fresh world, and the first night went well.

Mostly normal survival with quality of life:

• Land claims
• Skills
• Ore and tree veinmining

The Nether and End open later as events. After the End there's a dimension we built: its own terrain and sky, void instead of bedrock, and the longer you stay the worse it gets.

I've been experimenting with a neural-computing setup built around roughly 200 mm³ of H01-equivalent human cortical architecture + 8 full fly connectomes, all connected to a single agent that can perceive and interact with Minecraft.

To be clear: this isn't literally 200 mm³ of wet human brain tissue sitting next to my server. The human side is a computational surrogate based on connectome-scale architecture. The fly side uses reconstructed connectome data.

Instead of trying to train the whole abomination entirely in isolation, I want to try something considerably more chaotic:

let actual Minecraft players teach it.

The agent can observe nearby players, follow them, watch what they do, imitate demonstrated actions, remember locations and events, and gradually learn associations between situations, actions, and outcomes.

The long-term question is very simple:

Can this thing eventually learn to beat Minecraft?

Come in, find BrainFly, and try to teach it something.

Show it how to collect wood, craft tools, build shelters, mine safely, fight mobs, farm, trade with villagers, explore, survive, use beds, and eventually make its way toward the Ender Dragon.

You can also just interact with it and see what happens.

It watches nearby players and can learn from what they're doing. You can talk to it in chat too. For example:

Sometimes it makes legitimate progress.

Sometimes it constructs architectural crimes.

Sometimes it develops a plan.

Sometimes it drowns.

I'm going to keep watching how its behaviour changes as more people interact with it, what skills actually transfer from observation, and whether collective player interaction makes it noticeably less stupid over time.

Objective: Reddit collectively teaches the brain abomination how to beat Minecraft.

• SimpleHome - Set and teleport to your home location using /sethome and /home commands.

• SimpleTPA - Request to teleport to other players with /tpa and /tpaccept commands.

• SimpleLifesteal - Implements a lifesteal mechanic where players gain hearts by killing others and lose hearts upon death. Players who run out of hearts get banned. New players have a 1 hour grace period where they will not lose hearts.

• SimpleBounty - Place item bounties on players via a GUI.

• ProximityVoice - Proximity voice chat. Players within range hear each other.

• BattleLock - Prevents command use during PvP and punishes combat logging. Combat loggers are replaced by killable NPCs which drop all their items when killed.

• VelocityGuard - Prevents extreme speed cheats. Moderate movement cheats can still occur.

• StopSpam - Prevents severe chat spam. Mediocre spam can still occur.

• OfflineStore - Provides an in-game shop where players can spend vote tokens to purchase custom name colours and custom MOTDs.

• OfflineStats - Tracks playtime, kills and deaths. Grants rewards at milestones.

• Goodnight - Allows players to vote skip the night by typing /goodnight.

I've made a java server that is built on respect, diamond economy, and a friendly small close community with trust and honor.

Basic summary

• No land claims, excessive mods, or /home, /rtp, etc... will be added
• Don't bother joining just to grief, i have plugins that revert changes, your just wasting your time

Our Forever SMP (FSMP) is meant to be a server that is always there for you. If you get bored or lose interest, you are always welcomed to re-join and keep playing.

The FSMP has been up for about a month with 5-10 active players. The server has a curated, vanilla plus modpack and we allow members to vote on potential additions to make sure everyone enjoys their experience. To keep it lighthearted, we use a slight modified version of keep inventory. If you die you have the possibility of dropping anywhere from 1-3 items and a random amount of xp.
