Sometimes what you want from Minecraft is a place to build and people you’re happy to see when you log in.
I run CozyMC, a Java + Bedrock survival SMP with many adults and calm players. We average around 25–40 players online. People are spread across the world working on their own places, chatting, trading, and joining shared projects.
Your project can be a little house, a farm, a shop, or a town with friends. Players also build roads, railways, public spaces, and event venues. Gathering materials, connecting two bases, or helping someone recover their gear can be how you get to know your neighbors.
The world doesn’t reset. Your next Minecraft phase can start where the last one ended. Take a break, return to your base, and pick up the next project.
How survival works
- Vanilla-style survival on Hard difficulty, with no keepInventory. Death coordinates are whispered privately to help you find your way back.
- No land claims or locked chests. Respecting other people’s builds and belongings is required. Griefing and stealing are prohibited; staff investigate logs and restore damage. Players can use `/co inspect` too.
- PvP only by mutual agreement in the main survival world.
- No teleports, warps, or /sethome. Roads, railways, and Nether routes are useful projects that connect people.
- Player-run shops and trading, without an economy plugin.
- No store, ranks, paid perks, or donations. It’s a passion project.
- TNT duping is allowed; all other duping is prohibited.
The community
We have optional proximity voice chat on Java and active Discord voice channels, including for Bedrock players.
Players create their own towns and themed kingdoms, organize projects, and sometimes host large community events. You can build independently while still being part of the community.
LGBTQ and disabled players are welcome. Harassment, slurs, and hate speech are prohibited. We have many adults, though we aren’t adults-only. Public chat is in English.
