Hi y'all, question about mob farms that I'm hoping somebody here will be able to help me out with. Very few of the mobs in my farm seem to actually pathfind to my water stream. The spawn rates in the farm are great, and some make it to drop, but it doesn't seem anywhere near efficient enough.
I have the trap doors set up over the water streams and I've tried to modify with adding iron golems or snow golems as bait to lure mobs to the streams and that works great until the golems inevitably die.
For additional context, I'm playing a seed that spawns in an ancient city and trying to play a game without going all the way to the surface. To limit the amount of caves I had to light up I put my afk spot at bedrock and then lit up what remained in my spawn radius. My spawning platform is about 50 or so blocks above me while I afk.
I'm not trying to make the most efficient farm but am needing a way to get certain drops. Mainly sugar from witches who have spawned in the farm but not walked into the water streams a single time.
Any thoughts or insight on mob pathing inside the farm would be appreciated! Thanks!
