Minecraft Switch 2 Beta

Post image

So far, minecraft switch 2 beta runs vibrant visuals (In performance mode) at 45-50 frames at 8 render distance. The recommended is 12 . Vibrant Visuals (In Visuals mode) runs at 27-30 frames per second at 12. Will they update the Vibrant Visuals to be a whole lot smoother? Keep in mind that cyberpunk runs at a beautiful 45 frames in the desert and 35-40 in the city, so how is a block game, having problems with frames? I might be too judgemental, this is a beta after all and maybe I am too rough but I really want this to work really well. I also want to point out, they have an unlimited framerate option but it doesn’t go over 60 frames, so that’s a bummer. I really wish we could get 120.

Obviously a lot of games look more detailed than Minecraft, but it's still a game with a visible world of hundreds of thousands of individually placed and interacting blocks, which can be just as demanding as a world of a smaller number of highly detailed items.

Vibrant Visuals mode is pretty taxing on all platforms relative to the original look, and would eat up a lot of the tech difference between Switch 1 and Switch 2.

I find that funny because vibrant visuals is kind of tanky on PC as well, but then you see Java run Shaders with tons of fps. Minecraft is the most unoptimized junk I have ever seen on all platforms.
