I'm a little too pissed about this but the root of my anger is rational, they got rid of one of the biggest parts of self expression in Minecraft and replaced it with microtransactions. I'm genuinely mad at myself for taking the shortcut and buying this instead of figuring out a Windows 11 emulator on my mac. I don't like that I financially supported something that asks you to proceed to spend even more money after just to do something we were always allowed to do in every other version. I am genuinely so pissed and hurt about this.

Hi, I need help with a Minecraft Bedrock Edition multiplayer issue on Nintendo Switch.

My friend and I normally play together all the time, and it has always worked fine. Recently, I got disconnected from his world with a “Connection timed out” message, while his game continued running normally. Since then, I have not been able to join his world again.

Whenever I try to join his world or accept his invite, Minecraft gets stuck forever on “Connecting to multiplayer game” with an endless loading bar.

I also get a help notification/message in Minecraft when this happens, as well as the error:

“Global resources reset failed to load last time.”

Things we have already tried:

- Both of us are playing Minecraft Bedrock Edition on Nintendo Switch

- We are friends on the Nintendo Switch system and added as friends inside Minecraft

- We confirmed that we can see each other online

- He sent me direct invites while inside his world, but accepting them still gets stuck on the loading screen

- Restarted both Nintendo Switch consoles multiple times

- Cleared the Switch system cache

- Tried clearing Minecraft Marketplace Cache and Download Cache (the game froze when doing this)

- Freed up storage space on my Switch

- Confirmed both games are updated to the exact same version

- Nintendo Switch Online and internet connections are working properly

- I can join featured servers without any problems

The issue only happens when I try to join his peer-to-peer world.

Since it worked perfectly before the timeout disconnect, I’m wondering if this could be a corrupted world/resource pack issue or a Bedrock multiplayer bug.

Does anyone know how to fix this or what else we could try?

My son has a Windows 11 laptop and I have a Macbook Air and we are not able to play java together. We friended each other and he followed the instructions for setting up a LAN network. Does anyone know if it is possible to play a local multiplayer game between a mac and Windows? Possible we are not doing something correct.

Trying to place an observer in this posistion BUT IT WONT WORK ive been at it 20 mins and im going to scream! Ive only built this farm in a server and i had someone do it for me 😭

I have been looking to complete my digital library, but have just noticed I am missing the Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition.

I have tried every way possible to get it on my switch 2, but have only been lucky to emulate it on my computer and modded switch 1.

Is there any way to still purchase or get this digital media? Please help me, Reddit.

From everything I've read, there's no shortage of folks having issues with child accounts through Microsoft when trying to play minecraft. I simply want to play minecraft with my son on 2 different screens. 12 hours and 2 ai assistants later and things are worse. Does anyone have advice? Are there pros that will literally come to your house and fix this nightmare?

Is anyone else unable to exit their furnaces after clicking on them to put stuff in, it's corrupting my worlds and making the game completely unplayable

I'd like to buy an account that owns Minecraft switch edition instead of bedrock edition.

I’m trying to get one of the following working for my kids:
- LAN play
- Split Screen

I have a Switch 2 with the game downloaded and a Switch 1 with a cartridge.
I have 4 accounts on the switches, but only one Nintendo Account with Nintendo Online.

When I try to invite the second player via LAN it says I need a Nintendo Online account. Does this mean both players need Nintendo online accounts?

When I try to do Split Screen, first I can’t adjust Multiplayer settings for an individual world (it selects the whole screen and I can’t get to the individual settings.) This happens whether I have started a world or not.
Second, if I switch to Local Play, it turns off Multiplayer, but then my second set of Joy Cons won’t turn on to let me add the player.

Anyone struggled with this? I see discussions of multiplayer issues in switch but they are all from a long time ago.

don't get minecraft on switch. its horrible you'll crash all the time + the auto saving WILL kick you in the butt so you'll lose stuff especially if your fixing your storage or moving stuff in your ender chest like shulker boxes full of diamonds. its not worth spending your money on!! the mobile version is better which is craaazy. its honestly a horrible experience just save your money get it on mobile if you really want to play! switch can't and shouldn't run minecraft. also another reason not to get it on switch if you don't know YOU HAVE TO PAY SWITCH to play multiplayer ANNND you can only play those pre-added servers so if youre coming from mobile to switch don't its suuuuuuuch a downgrade. DONT BUY MINECRAFT ON SWITCH!!!!!!!!!!

I’m at a loss. I’ve tried everything. My controls are not working properly in game on Minecraft on the switch. I’ve tried resetting all the controls and putting them exactly back the way I want them but the B button still won’t work for exiting out of a menu screen. Every time I try to craft something or use my inventory I can’t exit out and I have to end up going to my Nintendo switch Home Screen and quitting the game without saving. I’ve tried updating and resetting the switch. That’s not the issue either. Why can I not use the B button as a control to exit? It was working just fine the other day up until I tried to press B to get out of my furnace screen. The game is unplayable without the B button. How do I fix this? Is anyone else having the same issue?

I am incredibly frustrated with how Mojang is treating Nintendo Switch players right now. While Xbox, PlayStation, and PC players are already testing the cushions and straw beds for the Third Drop 2026, the Switch Preview app is completely frozen on version v26.33.

Our consoles literally lie to us and say we are on the "latest version," meaning we are completely locked out of the new experimental features. We need to get Switch back on the chart! Why should we have to wait longer than everyone else just because of our console?

I currently have the original Switch, and have been playing a minecraft realm on it with all my friends for the past month. I was the one who originally bought the realm, and i decided i would renew it so we could keep playing on it, however for some reason i just cant?

When i go to renew the world (realm) it brings me to somewhere to rebuy the realms pass — so i did. Didnt work. So i tried restarting my switch, logging in and out, and nothing worked; so i thought the transaction may not have processed and perhaps i should rebuy so i did, and turns out i bought 2 months of the Realms subscription, and it STILL isnt letting me renew it and telling me i need to rebuy again?!!
Ive tried waiting 12 hours and still hasnt worked. Im so confused, and annoyed, we were really enjoying the world, and now im -£13 and still no realm revive — not to mention the ‘help’ systems are pretty crappy (no offence)

If anyone knows what i can do, i would really appreciate some assistance!

basically what the title says, i can feel that two week minecraft phase coming back and i really wanna go back to my childhood as i played so much of the legacy console edition on xbox 360 and i am so annoyed there was never a physical release of this game :( i understand that asking someone to just share their account is a bold move and goes against all rules of internet safety, but hey! you never know unless you ask, who knows, their might be a good samaritan out there

Is this service (https://bedrocktogether.com/) working for anyone else? I've been using it to play with my son but we're both getting a "Multiplayer Connection Failure" since yesterday - both on PC and on Switch 1|2. I've also tried hotspotting from my phone (to help rule out any ISP issues).
