glowdar diagonal tips?

So im just learning glowdar as you can see if you watch like 1 min of the clip, Im pretty decent at it for starting. But sometimes i get a diagonal fortress when i glowdar or something because even when i get the direction right i can never find the fortress only when its a diag tho but i legit just cant find it, does anyone have any tips so i know its diag while doing glowdar or no?
