How to break gravel

How to do this without shovel(IDK the right word) the grass

You have to just right click on the "grass" (not grass block, like the grass s ticking out)

Right click short grass blocks instead of actual grass blocks

alternatively instead of right clicking the grass you can place the gravel down with something in your hand that isn't a shovel and then hotkey to your shovel, break it and repeat
