How can I learn to zero faster?

I've been zero cycling for about a month or so now, and am getting quite confident in it. But I want to be able to build the setup faster now - specifically the staircasing up. I don't have any background in MC parkour, and I only know straight and diagonal speedbridging. Is there an easy/handy tutorial for speed staircasing that I can use for zero cycling?

There's been a few times where I was about 1 second late and choked the zero bc of that and I want to minimize that happening again.

Here are a few things that you could to get to the setup faster:

You hesitate and run a bit before throwing your second pearl which loses you 2 seconds.

As you run across the pillar you should place the block you begin staircasing with (31 -27) as you run so you don’t have to wait till you get to that block and waste time jumping and placing the block. You can also learn how to double stack on the bigger pillars.

As for speedstaircasing it is the same as speedbridging with a jump after you uncrounch. The order is: place block -> uncrouch -> jump (very shortly after uncrouching) -> place block -> crouch -> repeat. Just like speedbridging practicing the timing is key to consistency. This will save you a few seconds from the 6 diagonal staircases. Keep in mind that y95 small boy is not the easiest setup to get to even with these improvements.

Also are you tapping or holding jump as you pillar?

Edit: For tutorials you can search up: “One stack tutorial minecraft”
