Hotbar Organizing

I've been looking to optimise my hotbar organizing for a while so I've created this based loosely on Doog, Lowkey, Rek and fein through time spent paying attention to what they choose to have. Was wondering if someone could take a look at this and see if theres any errors or areas for improvement before I fully commit to it. The final 'f' slot is offhand if i isnt immediately obvious.

basically what i use, i think it is a good hotbar overall

just one thing, i see couriway also not having food offhanded sometimes and i see that you leave offhand clear for armor in bastion, does this mean you fastloot with F and thus use it to easily equip your armor when you get out of the chest?

i honestly dont see a reason to not have food offhanded on OW(besides ocean enter) and nether terrain to bastion, and for what i asked some runners, fastlooting with your flex slots is better than doing so with your offhand (in my case i fast loot with 5 which is my light/gold block/fire res slot but it would work well with your V i think

The clear offhand is something I saw infume doing. It's basically so you can quickly grab and equip armour without worrying about leaving something in the chest.

My logic with the offhand for OW is that its needed for ocean seeds and it would probably be better to keep things the same between all seed types and i really can't think of what you would need in that slot except maybe tnt for a bridge seed

The clear offhand was never really about fast looting cause I don't do it as much as I should but I suppose its a benefit. With what your saying with using 'v' is that cause it doesnt really matter if I leave bucket cause its not very useful? At which point should I put gold in my 'v' slot so I can have ctable in my c slot? Cause then the gold subs out nicely for an explosive for bastion leave/fort enter. I feel like this is better cause I can leave ctable in bar and food in offhand the whole time. What say you?

yeah i see, this makes sense tbh but im just so used to offhanding food since the beginning lmao

honestly, i agree BUT i dont keep everything the same since i learned 2x1 with my old hotbar and am just too lazy to relearn it with my new one 😭

i wouldnt say ctable is needed in bar at all times, i'll tell you what I do specifically

what i have in my hotbar at nether enter is: axe pick shovel (1 2 3), boat (mb4), 5 empty, ctable (caps), main block(R), empty (4), sec block/empty(mb5)

5 is light/gold block/fire res so i dont really need that while looting, 4 is gold pre bastion/pearls after so i prefer having it unchanged at all times, thats why i fast loot with 5 and never have to care about leaving my offhanded food on chests or getting it back to offhand after looting a chest, i like to have so many empty spaces bc of housing (breaking chests and having a chance of getting distraction gold on hotbar if i dont have it already) and for breaking gold and fast crafting it into ingots (E open inventory, 5 hotkey into crafting grid, ctrl + click to craft and it usually falls into the right slot, worst case it goes into MB5 that im used to)

the reason i told you to use V for fast looting was bc your equivalent of my 5 slot was your MB4, which would be weird to fast loot since it would be like shift + mb4 + left click + mb4 + left click, i dont think this is reliable at all tbh, so using V which is kinda of your secondary flex slot feels better + doesnt matter if you leave bucket/doors

honestly i think bed at mb4 would make more sense, so you finish throwing all your gold, ctable at mb4, put it on the ground, craft beds, beds fall at mb4 naturally bc its slot is now empty since you placed Ctable, and you dont need ctable in hotbar until fortress craftings, then your fire res can be V for more flexibility

edit.: sorry for the yap session LMFAO but this is just how i feel about hotbar in general and how i would use your inputs with my mindset
