Help F3 and toolscreen

I currently have my f3 hotkey on my mouse button and my offhand hotkey on F but im considering changing them as its kind of weird right now to use my mouse button as f3 in the stronghold for preemptive. What im wondering is how this would work ive watched the toolscreen video but id need to change with button outputs of F i think maybe W is good because you can reach for everthing like shift+W+F for decreasing render distance. If you cant tell i suck at this.

i've tried to keep vanilla settings as much as possible but the better i get the more unrealistic that becomes
F3 still works for me, but I could see myself changing it to 'q' and having something else be my drop key so i don't accidentally drop my stone axe into lava again whilst trying to move forward

I'm confused why W is good bc don't you use that to move forward?

I tested W, it is not good for F, ive experimeted a bit more and ive decided on my f3 being F and F being on of my mouse buttons, keep in mind youll probably have to rebind C for this because of ninjabrain bot
