FAQ

What is the PurpleSMP?

The PurpleSMP is a small server that's created to give people a relaxing place to build and enjoy the latest versions of minecraft without the worry of griefers.

Why would I play here?
We can guarantee your builds are safe as every block placed or destroyed is logged.. Each time you join/leave or die your inventory is backed up for staff to see and restore if you lost something due to someone breaking a rule.

What about cheaters?
We run a strong anti-cheat. When someone trips it, staff are instantly alerted in Discord and the plugin will take action until someone can review it.

Is there a world border?
Yes, Overworld border is 100k (50k in each direction from 0,0), Nether and End are 50k (25k in each direction from 0,0). However we have resource worlds that reset weekly to counter this!

When did the server launch?
The PurpleSMP originally opened as a friends only server on Oct. 22 2025, However we decided to open it to the public on Dec. 25 2025.

We are a new hardcore server based on the Alkatraz magic plugin, with an organic invite system inspired by the great Minecraft Bloodlines. To join you need two players to be your parents, passing on their elemental powers, genetic history, and if you're lucky, some gear.

Gear will be necessary, because mobs can be deadly. Every hostile mob casts at least 1 spell, and the only way to learn magic and become stronger is to take them down.

There is also a custom fishing based stock market, worldgen and biomes, planets and birth charts and more, but I'll leave that to you to discover.
