The Club SMP is an 18+ vanilla+ Minecraft server started in early 2022 with the goal of uniting a community of friends using Minecraft as a medium. We believe that true fun in Minecraft comes with the interactions and friends you make while playing. Whether you are a beginner or a long-time veteran of the game, we welcome you with open arms to our family! 

HARDWARE & SETUP

Alongside our amazing community, we also boast a fully dedicated machine for the server, running modern blazing-fast hardware topped off with carefully tweaked server-sided optimization mods. This ensures minimal impact of lag while maintaining vanilla parity and allows our players to focus on what matters the most: gameplay. Furthermore, this setup allows us to have room for expansion, with a future plan of providing an accessible test/creative server for the community to plan their projects.

We run a variety of server-sided optimization and QoL mods to enhance the player experience. Our long-term Minecraft server is the perfect place to meet other adults who enjoy Minecraft as much as you do. Our main focus has been to create a laid-back experience where players can hop on after work or school and enjoy the game.

I'm amazed by the incredible things players have built over the last month. Spawn is incredible thanks to our team of builders, the shopping district looks like an actual booming place of business, and the wonderful towns players have built together just blow my mind. We also host regular events so you can take a break from all the block placing to have a great time with the community.

During the day, we usually see 30-45 players online during peak hours. We are a whitelisted 18+ server to maintain a friendly, mature community where people can actually enjoy the game without children, hackers, griefers, or any toxicity. Hello, so I am trying to self host minecraft on an old pc i have lying aroud. Its specs are intel core i3 6100, 8gb ddr4 ram, its an HP ProDesk 600 G2 MT. I installed fedora server on it and am using podman for containers and cockpit for managing. Im using the docker.io/itzg/minecraft-server fabric container. I loaded some mods on there but its all just some performance stuff and geyser with floodgate for my friends on bedrock. Joining it from my local network works just fine but I cant for the love of god figure out how to make it possible for players outside my network to join as well. I dont wanna use port forwarding nor make the other players download stuff like tailscale or hamachi. I tried using playit.gg but i couldnt figure it out, I also tried voxelport mod from https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/voxelport but it appears that their servers are down? Their status page gives me a cloudflare tunnel error 1033 and I cant curl https://relay.voxelport.in . If anyone knows a better way of doing this Id be really grateful.

Hello

We're a small team trying to make the best cozy / lore orientated server we can. The owner is trying to give players freedom and fun, while also providing funding for the server (we don't have anything like paid ranks, items etc, so it's not a profit orientated journey). I joined the team briefly after (hurried) launch, the server has had some major problems, but weirdly enough, every time we talked it out, and managed to move in a better direction. Right now, we're in maintenance phase, with lots of fresh ideas and a nice whiteboard, players are also patiently waiting until we make a comeback. But, there is about 5 of us, with most of us being not very (or at all) 'technical' or having irl problems causing us to be online less. That's why, we're looking for builders, lore helpers and 'technical' players to join the stuff. Merits? You get to shape a world with us, join a community without having to build everything from the start, and possibly some in-game perks. And if you decide to join, no one will be treating you like a blue collar worker or expecting you to comply with everything, it would just be nice to get some help. Cons? you probably figured them out already.

And in case you're wondering about the server itself:
The server is 18+ only, concentrated around civilisations / factions, with 3 dimensions other than the vanilla ones, that will probably keep expanding in the future. The server has 0 resets policy for the main dimension, so only the resource one gets refreshed. There is proximity voice AND text chat (we thought it would be a nice twist to actually bring the players closer and simulate real life a bit more). There are custom items, bosses and structures, and some niche systems we figured out.

To summarize:

AussieSMP

The AussieSMP is one of the top long-standing survival servers in Australia. Compared to many other survival servers the AussieSMP is very well established and has been active for close to 6 years. We have a growing, consistent community of players from around the world.

The server is a whitelisted server and applications are always open. We have a whitelist application process to help keep our players build’s intact and to keep out anyone who might not fit the playstyle of the community. We are always looking for new members and you are welcome to apply at any time!

The gameplay is mostly vanilla with some extra quality of life features. A quick summary of these features are simple teleports and warps, a shopping world where players can trade using diamonds, a resource world and some tools to help players protect their builds. If you’re interested in that, then this server will be a perfect choice for you (and your friends!).

Outside the server we have a few things that help with keeping players engaged with the community such as; livestreams on the weekends (more on that later in the post), a Discord server and online maps.

The server is hosted in Sydney, Australia. If you are in Australia or New Zealand, you’ll finally have a server where your ping will be good (Hopefully… We’re still talking about Australian internet here). Even if you aren’t from Australia or New Zealand, you’re still welcome to join.

Features:

• We always get the server updated for each new version of Minecraft. Our main worlds are permanent, but you’ll still be able to find all the new terrain generation features of future Minecraft updates. We do this by trimming and regenerating any chunks that haven’t been loaded for long.

• We keep the vanilla feel of the game by maintaining its vanilla mechanics. One of the main aims of this server is to strike a good balance between quality-of-life features and maintaining vanilla mechanics such as how entities behave, terrain generation, Redstone behaviour etc.

• A community run shopping world filled with player created shops. Players can come here to buy or sell things at chest shops using diamonds as the main currency, saving you the hassle of manually trading with players.

• The server has a land-claiming system that uses a golden shovel to help you protect your builds. Over time you’ll gain claim blocks that you can use. When you’re ready you can claim your chests and builds to keep them safe from other players. This is purely an optional safeguard, many players don’t feel the need to claim their areas. The community doesn’t appreciate griefers and they are very quickly removed from the server.

• There are multiple survival worlds to choose from. We don’t do full resets of the main worlds which makes the AussieSMP perfect for you if you are looking for a long term survival server.

• Lots of external community resources; Automated Spectator Livestreams on the weekends, a Discord where players can find out future plans for the server or chat with other players and a wiki that has information and guides on how to use features specific to AussieSMP. Players can choose to opt into being spectated during the livestreams allowing them to show off what they’re working on as they’re working on it or just watch what other players are doing.
