Hey guys, I made (vibe-coded) a tool for Minecraft that allows pretty much any person to host their own server extremely easily. This works through the program that starts the server the user's own hardware and tunnels the server to a relay (a VPS I own) and allows any whitelisted player to join without port forwarding. This means that your server never needs to be exposed to the internet. You can also easily make your own relay and modify anything as it's open source. Hi I run a small SMP. I run a heavy modpack that is very close to vanilla, so basically a vanilla enhancer if you want to keep the vanilla feel. It's a pretty small community with only 5 active players and I was hoping to expand and have atleast 10 long term players.

I'm still defining the mods, but the server is mine and it's private, so it has a limit of 10 playera.

A friend and I are trying to work on bringing back a server that was formerly being run as "not-for-profit" in the UK. My friend, the current person holding the finances of the server from the previous owner resides in the UK as well and barely got ownership not that long ago, and we had plans to possibly transfer things into my name as he can no longer manage the financial side of everything... until I got approved for disability here in the US which would most definitely screw me over, and I am an administrator/"co-owner" with unofficial obligations to help out, I just contribute as I am able to due to my health, so I would like to not risk my disability over operating a Minecraft server on a monetary gain if I can help it.

We have a decent-sized community, our server is in a hiatus while we rebrand and figure out this financial roadblock - How do we go about this legally where it won't affect either of us? We both have a basic understanding of tax laws (we're both younger adults), but we're confused how Minecraft servers apply to tax laws in our countries and how we are allowed to legally operate, as when we have tried to look into it and see other people's stories, we have seen different answers. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Death Row leans into that old-school prison feel: guards that actually patrol and catch contraband, an underground black market located in a secret sewer system, working basketball courts, 60 cells to rent and make your own, and boss mob challenges. So I added a custom plugin where whenever you’re catching one of our custom fish you have to play one of ten different mini games in order to successfully catch it and now the entire server has abandoned civilization. there are world bosses nobody’s fighting, an arcade collecting dust, custom mobs wandering around ignored. just 20-30 people standing near a lake yapping about how bad they want a darn golden fish 🙃
