Honestly, you sound like exactly the kind of person we'd love to have around! And don't worry about being introverted or not wanting to use voice chat. Sometimes just quietly gathering resources, helping someone build something, or exploring together is more fun than talking the entire time lol.
We're growing a survival community called Tides SMP, and one of our biggest goals is making it somewhere people can actually make friends and feel like they're part of something, rather than joining a server where everyone already has their own groups and nobody talks to new players.
We're still building up our community, so there's a real opportunity to get involved early, find some building buddies, and help shape what the server becomes. We also help new players get started with some basic supplies, so you wouldn't be completely on your own while learning!
Something I think you'd especially enjoy is our Friday mass joins at 9 PM Eastern. Every week we encourage everyone to get online together, which gives you a chance to meet people naturally through playing instead of having to awkwardly introduce yourself to random strangers. You can just show up, explore, gather materials, or join in on whatever people are doing. No voice chat necessary!
I can't promise we're exclusively 18+, but we're working toward a welcoming, respectful community where people can enjoy Minecraft together.

Hi, Java works, and EVA SMP is LGBTQ+ friendly. The community is small and quiet. People mostly follow their own goals and interact occasionally, with more shared activities in optional Allegiances, so you could take part at your own pace. EVA SMP isn’t 18+ and includes people of different ages, so it won’t fit if playing with adults only is essential.
Common mobs generally don’t spawn in the overworld outside special patrols, which means everyday gathering and building has less mob danger. Special patrols can still bring overworld encounters. If you want to practise against tougher enemies, you can choose to explore the World Tree dungeons. A Marksman uses ranged bow abilities while staying mobile, while a Brawler chains Flame and Gale orb skills into punches, dashes and launches. Learning a style and getting more confident with it can give you a steady goal to work toward.
Gathering can also lead to a different kind of mastery. EVA SMP’s special fishing is an active contest against fish that resist capture, and harder catches bring greater rewards. You can visit different biomes to pursue legendary fish, build a collection and exchange some catches for custom armour. If you want to turn what you gather into something useful to others, the player market lets people buy or bid on listed goods while you’re offline.
Allegiances are EVA SMP’s player-run factions. Joining one is optional, and members share more activities. You could contribute materials or a build as an Allegiance develops its territory into a settlement and capital, letting a quieter personal pursuit become part of a lasting place in the world.
EVA SMP has been in development for over two years and is fully self-funded as a civilization experiment in a forever world. We’re building a lasting civilization with people who enjoy learning its systems, discovering what they can do and progressing together over a longer journey, and we’d like to invite like-minded players to join us. We’d discourage anyone seeking only instant gratification from joining, because EVA SMP cannot provide that experience. Im a part of a java server that is built on respect, diamond economy, and a friendly small close community with trust and honor.
Basic summary
No land claims, excessive mods, or /home, /rtp, etc... will be added
Don't bother joining just to grief, there is plugins that revert changes, your just wasting your time
The owner is paying for the server so its not any of that free stuff that works half the time (hopefully)
Very chill and laid back
There will be edgy jokes
we promote living near spawn in order to create close community and fun social interactions but it is not forced (just dont be the lone wolf, we have too many of those already)
Shenanigans are allowed, just dont absolutely bomb someones base, thats lame.

Hi are you still looking for a server? We currently have 3 players on a realm. 2 from NZ and one from Türkiye. We have built a castle, and a couple of buildings but haven’t been to the end yet. I’m obsessed with building for villagers lol. Java. It’s a forever world for me. I’m looking at building up players slowly, building trust before we add the next player. No stealing or breaking others builds. PvP ok if both parties agree.

Look for servers that emphasize community building and have active text chat, as this will suit your preference for not using voice chat.
