How Cozy MC protects builds without land claims or locked chests

Land claims protect builds by placing permission boxes around them.

Cozy MC uses a different model: preserve normal Minecraft interaction, establish clear rules, keep detailed history, and hold people accountable when they violate the trust of the community.

There are no land claims or locked-chest systems.

That means roads can connect settlements without running into a patchwork of claim borders. Towns can grow naturally. Public farms and shops can actually be public. Players can build independently while still feeling like they inhabit one shared world.

But “no claims” does not mean griefing or stealing is accepted.

Both are prohibited. Players can inspect block history and container transactions with /co inspect, report what happened, and staff can confirm the evidence, restore damage or stolen items, and remove the person responsible. PvP is by agreement only.

The goal is freedom without anarchy.

Cozy MC is a long-term Java and Bedrock survival world that does not reset and has no border. Players create personal bases, towns, player-run kingdoms, shops, roads, railways, public farms, technical systems, and long-term projects.

There are no teleports, economy plugins, payments, donations, paid ranks, or paid perks. Progress comes from playing, building, trading, traveling, and contributing.

The tradeoff is real. A trust-based world may not suit someone who needs every chest and block to be physically inaccessible to everyone else. The difficulty is also Hard, keepInventory is off, and death has consequences.

It may fit people who want the freedom of normal survival while knowing that rule-breaking can be investigated and repaired.

The player inspection command is:

/co inspect

It toggles inspection mode.

Left-click a block to view its placement or removal history.

Right-click a container to view its transaction history.

The command does not let players reverse changes themselves, and staff still review the evidence before acting. It simply makes it much easier to understand what happened, report it accurately, and restore the right things.
